Final game of the year, Spurs in danger of losing 3 straight for the first time this season. Even worse considering how well they played while struggling with injuries.

Gotta right the ship, hope the guys lock in tomorrow and play the full 48.

They can’t defend the three. The book is out and teams will
Continue to punish them until they play perimeter defense. Surprised Sean Sweeny hasn’t changed things. Also we can’t rely on Vassel Barnes and champ as our main three point guys with Harper and Castle being below average beyond the arc. The aforementioned three aren’t reliable enough. Front office needs to make a trade for three and D guys and play Bryant more to develop him.

Hoping for a good outcome on this one, but given how things have gone with other games where we lost the first round with an opposing team (Phoenix, Golden State, and now Cleveland), I am unfortunately leaning towards being pessimistic. (The Lakers are the lone exception to that, but we were without Victor in winning the second game).

Expecting another tough game. Spurs will need to hit 3s to keep up with the Knicks.

Knicks are 3rd in the league in 3FGM and 4th in 3FG%.

For reference Cavs are 4th in the league in 3FGM.

Warriors are 1st.

Suns are 9th.

These 4 teams make up 7 of the Spurs 10 losses this year. 9 in the RS plus the Cup Final loss to the Knicks. 2 other losses were against the Jazz who went 17-37 from 3, the Wolves who went 17-37 from 3.

Defending the 3 pt line needs to be a big adjustment as the Cavs just gave a roadmap to other teams. Set a screen and go out and wait for a pass and your uncontested shot. I hope they watch a lot of film because the D was why we lost last night. The Cavs didn't shoot great but made a lot of their open shots. Our own shooting is another subject, but we gotta let it rip and not dwell on our slump.

There goes Devin's hope of playing all 82 games.
When he said it I predicted he won't make it to 25 games without getting injured. He exceeded expectations with 32.

If castle is also out... Dare I said it, sochan may start tomorrow.

Fox/champ/Barnes/sochan/wemby
Harper/waters(or DJG)/Bryant/KJ/Kornet.

Maybe Olynyk gets some burn over waters/djg

with castle/vassell out, could be a good opportunity for Harper to get back on track with his scoring. he's still been solid defensively and with his passing, but his scoring has left a lot to be desired lately.

in the last 6 games, he's averaged less than 7ppg on 39% from the field and less than 10% from 3

I would give Harper the start.

Wemby
Barnes
Champ
Harper
Fox

Pick and roll/pop Towns to death and attack the rim with no Robinson.

we need to make sure Fox and Harper are staggered at all times. Would be easier with Harper off the bench. Unless you want more McLaughlin minutes.

Could be a good game to pull DJG from the gleague too
