Game Thread Spurs (22-7) vs Thunder (26-4) (Thu 12/25/25) [1:30 PM CDT]

Trading for ginnas will weaken them tbh. Especially with his health issues for the past few years
I'm just saying I'd rather bet on beating the team we just handled 3 times in a row than betting on a Giannis injury...

I thought this may have been the worst defensive performance of the 3 games against them. Gave up way too many wide open 3s, especially in the corners. Spurs were just so deep in their heads they blew wide open 3 one after another all game.

This team still have to improve guarding the 3 before the playoffs. Can't give teams that many open looks.
It’s not the in their heads thing. When they’re not turning the ball over and running, their shooters HAVE to make it,and they’re thinking about it.

I love those old school Mavs jerseys.....reminds me of the Ro Blackman era

Beating OKC will be a whole different beast in the playoffs, but very encouraging to see how terrible a matchup the Spurs are for the Thunder. LOL all the analysts saying you can't have three point guards
The difference is the size. It's 3 guards that can play point, but only 2 of them are true point guards with Castle a 6'7" strong guard able to play 1 through 3. When the 3 point guards are 6'4", 6'5", and 6'7" with another 6'7" guard in Vassell able to guard either guard spot it gives so much versatility.

It wouldnt work if the guards were smaller.

I'm not sure I agree with this. The Thunder won a title, but it's very clear they're still a young team prone to nerves. They don't necessarily have the edge over the Spurs, especially if you add in this season. I'm far more worried about the Spurs losing the Suns or Warriors in the first round than I am about the Thunder rolling the Spurs in the third round.

Yeah need to avoid Phoenix in our 1st round bracket as much as possible. Hopefully dubs just do bad enough to lose in the play in too.

Thunder shot open 3 horribly and missed a lot of FT. We were lucky to get this one. But I’ll sure as hell take it!

Lu Dort cant hit a shit from 3.

Keeping him open is by design that Mavs implemented in playoffs couple of years back and are quite successful.

We did the same today.

Great great win.

Hope there is no serious issue with wemby as he has taken quite a few falls and twice grabbing his calf/shin?

Also recalled that the commentator mentioned Fox was grabbing his upper left thigh/leg during the 4Q.

Can someone give me a summary? I had family stuff. Crazy that they won a third time. Damn
More of the same, tbh.
It's just that Fox went off instead of role players.

Watch the full game replay when you can, it's worth it.

I wish Silver would end the play in series, that was a covid relic that just needs to die. If you aren't good enough to be top 10 out of 15 in your conference, you don't deserve another chance.

Castle nor Vassell are 6' 7"... 6'5" at most

Santa came more than once this year if you know what I mean!!! HAHAHAHA!!! GSG!!!

Luckily that thunderrefs did not show up today.

The refs were letting the players play.

This took me back to 2005 when the Suns had a 31-4 record while the Spurs were behind them in the standings and then they lose 6 in a row including one against the Spurs. And we were their kryptonite that season too.

You had to know…at the end of the first qtr…

Okc shot lights out and started on a tear…they hit every shot, every three….the crowd was into it…

Then the qtr ends and the spurs are leading….hahahahahaha…

You had to know that it fucked with the champs heads…
