I don't want them to make that trade now (maybe in the summer) I want them as currently constructed..We really gonna panic OKC into a Giannis trade![]()
This felt like playoffs. I'm not saying it's the same, but they really did not want to lose this one. And they did their best to study the Spurs, what worked & what didn't. And we still handed their ass to them.Beating OKC will be a whole different beast in the playoffs, but very encouraging to see how terrible a matchup the Spurs are for the Thunder. LOL all the analysts saying you can't have three point guards when that's such a huge reason the Spurs can fight through OKC's turnover forcing defense.
True. I was just remembering how we were 0-4 against the rockets in 2014 yet still won a ship (though we didn’t play them in the playoffs)Why wouldn't it matter? Tiebreaker for #1 seed would be huge. It's like 2002-03 against Dallas but we're only 3 games behind now.
What did he do. Missed itDirty dort
There’s a thread. What did he do. Missed it
Thankfully Mitch recognized it wasn't working and called TO to change it up. Pop would have stubbornly stuck with it until OKC was up 5.Mitch was great using his Timeouts.
But what up with that french vanilla short stint in the 4Q? OKC almost turn the momentum and startrd run during that stint.
I don't think Korndog and Vic should be on floor together for OKC and GSW matchup
Football defense now too. They are literally clearing people out of paint on drives. Hartenestein and dirt did it like they are olinemenOKC really plays the worst version of basketball I've ever seen. Foul baiting, kicking it, grabbing on defense
Just terrible to watch
He's been rebounding well in these games. On Champ, it just looked like the form on his shot was awkward today... once he finds it again I think he'll be fine..
We were 0-4 against OKC in the regular season that same year too and still beat them in the playoffs in 6.True. I was just remembering how we were 0-4 against the rockets in 2014 yet still won a ship (though we didn’t play them in the playoffs)
Trading for ginnas will weaken them tbh. Especially with his health issues for the past few yearsI don't want them to make that trade now (maybe in the summer) I want them as currently constructed..
They could maybe make the second game of a B2B excuse and they played really soft not challenging in the paint two days ago, but yeah they have no excuses to make today.OKC has a fuck ton to think about. It's rare for a champion to get their sides ripped open in three games against a burgeoning rival. These last two games there wasn't a lot they could do, just not a lot of answers against the Spurs right now. Wemby is a monster against them defensively, the Spurs are taking care of the ball, and the three guard rotation is super hard for them to stop.
I thought this may have been the worst defensive performance of the 3 games against them. Gave up way too many wide open 3s, especially in the corners. Spurs were just so deep in their heads they blew wide open 3 one after another all game.I'd have said that before, now I not even sure it's a miracle.
I don't think we realize how scary good we're defensively
I'm not sure I agree with this. The Thunder won a title, but it's very clear they're still a young team prone to nerves. They don't necessarily have the edge over the Spurs, especially if you add in this season. I'm far more worried about the Spurs losing the Suns or Warriors in the first round than I am about the Thunder rolling the Spurs in the third round.Beating OKC will be a whole different beast in the playoffs,
Yes his def rebounding was critical todayHe's been rebounding well in these games.
