Game Thread Spurs (22-7) vs Thunder (26-4) (Thu 12/25/25) [1:30 PM CDT]

Thoughts:

I was told Fox was too small for this matchup but he was big today.

Champagnie is gonna see his minutes dip in a potential series against the Thunder. He really isn’t for this matchup but maybe he figures it out.

SGA isn’t jack shit when things don’t go his way. Maybe the spurs are his kryptonite because they’ve made him look so average and overrated in these games.
Idk, if anything, SGA is doing a carry job on these bums.

Thunder shot open 3 horribly and missed a lot of FT. We were lucky to get this one. But I’ll sure as hell take it!

Beating OKC will be a whole different beast in the playoffs, but very encouraging to see how terrible a matchup the Spurs are for the Thunder. LOL all the analysts saying you can't have three point guards when that's such a huge reason the Spurs can fight through OKC's turnover forcing defense.

OKC has a fuck ton to think about. It's rare for a champion to get their sides ripped open in three games against a burgeoning rival. These last two games there wasn't a lot they could do, just not a lot of answers against the Spurs right now. Wemby is a monster against them defensively, the Spurs are taking care of the ball, and the three guard rotation is super hard for them to stop.

On Champ, it just looked like the form on his shot was awkward today... once he finds it again I think he'll be fine..

Yep. He's fine. But the Thunder are being exposed as being dependent on him. Chet's contract looks questionable now. He gets bodied by Keldon of all people. Long-term, they might be better off trading Holmgren and Williams for a real second max player so they can keep their depth in the future.

I dont get it OKC missed a lot sure, but we also did in the 2nd half. Especially with Vassell, Champ, etc

Mitch was great using his Timeouts.

But what up with that french vanilla short stint in the 4Q? OKC almost turn the momentum and startrd run during that stint.

I don't think Korndog and Vic should be on floor together for OKC and GSW matchup

It’s like Chet never really built his strength against stocky nba dudes. Idk if he plays like that against other teams, sure as hell dont watch them play aside from our games.

Someone wrote it the other day, we have too many elite point guards and at least one will always be on top of his game.

If two play well, only the best teams can beat us.

If all three are doing well like they did tonight, we probably can't lose when Wemby is back to his regular minutes.
