Game Thread Spurs (22-7) vs Thunder (26-4) (Thu 12/25/25) [1:30 PM CDT]

I expect to get blown out by like 25 or earn a moral victory (a close game but ultimately losing). I don't expect a win but I also didn't expect a win yesterday or last week against this team so obviously I've been wrong and I hope I'm wrong tomorrow as well.

The only way we get blown out is if we make stupid TOs tbh.

OKC has no nuclear explosive like Curry or Luka. Just play clean basketball and pray don't get Thunderrefs and it should be a close game at least

I think we’ll see a much more tightly officiated game, because that’s an opportunity for the league to keep it under control. It might even get as bad as the first Laker’s game.

The NBA knows this is the premier matchup in the league right now and aren’t going to want it to be a blow out either way

All I want for Christmas is a road win against these a-holes. I fully expect them to play much better tomorrow though in front of their home crowd. And I don't think Keldon is going to shoot lights out again on the road. Will be a dog-fight. Hope the guys can make it 3 straight.

Over on Thunder Reddit, they’re talking about how they need to trade for Giannis and whether the they should try Brendan Carlson to slow down Wemby :st-lol:

We’re completely in the fan base’s head, don’t know about the players
So basically it’s like Spurs Talk but for OKC, got it.

They've shown that they can at the very least play with 'em so apathy is going to be just as much of an opponent as OKC tbh. Thunder are also a great home team as well, fully expect them to come out strong.

Just survive the first haymakers, keep up the defense, and limit the TOs and they'll have a shot.

I hope Vic gets the start tbh.

Oh, and hopefully Dort will start missing some of his open looks from 3 cause dude was unconscious yesterday, despite shooting 33% from 3 this season. Almost all of his attempts were wide open though.

Hopefully he doesn’t attempt any stupid dirty leg kick outs too on his shots.

I don't know. If the Spurs win convincingly tomorrow, that should trigger Giannis to OKC and thus open up the trade floodgates.

Listening to flop-GA, altho he was trying to project calm and non-chalance, he basically called out his teams “lack of physicality” - he says, “especially on defense”…

So im expecting the nba to send in
Tony brothers
Zach zarba
(Un-retire ) joey crawford

And some real hack crimes by the thunder…

They kind of don't have the firepower for haymakers.
Their haymakers are forcing the opponents into consecutive empty possessions and live ball turnovers which result in easy points on the other end.
You won't see them have a game winning barrage of 3s often.
