Game Thread Spurs (13-6) vs Grizzlies (9-12) (Tue 12/2/25) [7:00PM CDT]

Harp with 6 and 3 in 5 mins lol
At what point do we just go with him, Fox, and let Vassell/Champ fight for the 3rd spot đź‘€

Shooting 3s better than FTs is a vibe

Tbh, if Fox/Castle/Harper can keep getting to the rim at this rate, I'd be fine with Wemby going back into 3pt chucking mode assuming he can make close to 40%. There would be no defending that offense.
And you finally get your 6’9” + pf in wemby

Yeah that's where I'm at. Something's gotta give especially if you have three guards who run downhill.
Tbh, I'm fine with any offense that doesn't involve Wemby dribbling the ball more than 3 times (because that's enough for him to go coast to coast after a rebound :st-lol:).

Harper can pass and finish with his right, he's not one of those extremely left-handed players.
Had a couple of nice layups with his right in Minnesota and this right-handed pass was also nice.

Bryant!
Yes, he hit a few right handed layup high off the glass against Gobert. That is not easy with the weak hand

He's young, and not perfect, but I really like Carter Bryant. He puts effort into everything.

these zero-big minutes are so painful to watch defensively and entirely avoidable had they signed an actual NBA big instead of keeping bismack around for friendship and vibe reasons

might be the cleanest stretch of playing time for CB that we've seen to date. no dumb turnovers or forced shots in transition, actually was a difference maker defensively (despite getting duped on that fastbreak, but cant really get mad at him during a 3 on 1), and then for good measure knocked in a clean 3

Fox/Castle/Harper/?/Wemby lineups are what I can't wait for...

You want to spend serious cap money on a 4th string big?

He's obviously not ready yet, but am I too much of a homer when I say that he's noticably more aware than at he was at the start of the season?
He doesn't look completely lost anymore.

The rest of the available bigs need to get over themselves first

Gee, imagine if they'd drafted Edey with the 8 pick like many guys here wanted.

Start of the 2nd and we give up a wide open 3. How the fuck does that happen?

Remember when STers were acting like Harper was a hero-baller or empty calories because he had zero assists last game? :st-rolleyes:

maybe you dont keep the sochan at center lineup going when Edey has checked back in...

Sochan's 3 looking as tragic as ever. All of that early form is out the window

Remember when the collective NBA audience called Wemby a bust after 2 summer league games? ;
