We're back boys! We'll be facing the Minnesota Timberwolves in Round 2 after they shockingly upset the Denver Nuggets in 6 games of the First Round of the Playoffs.

IR coming soon. ⬇️

- 4th in FG% (at 48.4% FG)
- 7th in 3PT% (at 35.5% 3PT)
- 6th in eFG% (at 53.3%)

- 6th in Ast/TO Ratio (at 1.78)

This Minnesota team has been a tough matchup for us as of late. We went 1-2 against them this season, though Wemby didn't play in 1 of those games, and one of those losses was by 1 point. Their size and physicality tend to give our young guys some issues. With that said, the T-wolves will be missing their franchise player in Anthony Edwards for at least the first 2 games (and potentially more), and will also be without one of their best shooters for the series in Donte DiVincenzo, so — needless to say — they'll be missing some offensive firepower in this one.

Nonetheless, this is not a team to be taken lightly. They've got some dawgs over there and they will compete their ass off until the final whistle regardless of who's on the floor. With that said, zero excuse for the Spurs not to win this series. Minnesota is banged up and we'll be coming into this series on 6 days rest, and will have at least 4 days game plan for these guys.

Hopefully the Spurs show up locked in a ready to execute that game plan. We have an incredible opportunity here to advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2017 (!!). It's on us to go out there and seize that opportunity. That's all I got.

Let's get it! :st-flag:

Spurs in 5 (no Ant) or Spurs in 7 (Ant comes back and is at least at the same level he was at a week ago).

Kinda happy for the series to start on Monday to give Wolves extra time to heal up and get a couple of guys back. Wouldn't be even remotely fair with all their injuries to ask them to turn around on SAT for WCSF opener.

Probably back by game 3. That gives him two weeks off since the injury..
Shocked if he’s back that early. He was already playing on one knee before he hurt the “good” one tbh. Gonna need a ton of toradol for him to get back for G3.

They’re definitely gonna put Gobert on Castle, Randle on Wemby, and Jaden on Fox to start out.

Might be a big series for Keldon if he shakes off the R1 performance. He’s gonna be really key and will probably see a lot of minutes when Minny goes big.

Been 25 years since these two have matched up in the post season. That's before Wemby, Castley, Harper & Ant were born. Damn, I feel old af.
Good call. When Timmy bested KG 3-1. Good times. Can't believe it's been a quarter century tbh. Wild.

I can't see Ant coming back for Game 3 or 4. Two weeks seems too short for that level of hyperextension. Jokic was out like a month with a similar hyper extension and bone bruise (and 'avoided ligament damage' just like Ant).

Wolves would be lucky to have him back for a potential WCF imo.

Our guards are also just bigger and stronger than Murray with different attack angles. Murray’s DHOs have him going sideline to sideline looking for the pull-up while the Hydra pretty much all want to get straight to the paint to pressure the rim.

Vic’s gravity is also way different than jokers as a constant lob threat. Plus he’s just a much better 3pt shooter than Jokic for the last 3 months.

As long as the Spurs don’t curl up in a fetal position like Denver did, the Wolves are in trouble tbh.
