Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 5: Spurs vs Blazers (3-1) (Tue 04/28/2026) [8:00 CDT]

KJ is the last person that needs to be beating the drum - needs to be Fox!!!
Exactly! He needs to be beating the drum, doing the on-court interview, the postgame interview and banging every one of the Portland player’s wives, at minimum. For now, he’ll settle for the maximum. Contract that is.

I can’t see any of him, BB, or Plumlee with us next season unless we really strike out somehow in the draft.
Danny Ferry, Steve Smith and Kevin Willis didn't really log a lot of minutes during the Spurs runs, but having the vets there to help guide them from the bench was essential.

Needs to be said, but the officiating this series was really bad tbh. If the Guests were more talented this could've been a completely different series. If the whistle remains this way going forward when the level of competition picks up the Spurs are in trouble. OTOH, its good practice if/when they get to SGA and the Thunderefs.

Hope things get better my dude. Last year has been rough for me as well; Spurs have been a nice revelation this year for a lot of us tbh.
Best wishes, bro. I’ve been having it rough too, having lost two loved ones within the last year and a half with my pops having advanced dementia. Sports is trivial when it’s all said and done but…on the other hand, they still find a way to boost the mood and I want to see these guys win with all of us celebrating.

Prayers brother

In viewing the Knicks game tonight, the refs were allowing so much contact it looked like street ball!

It seemed like our guys don’t get the friendly whistle especially Castle, Wemby, and Fox. Frustrating that they let defenders be pretty physical and aggressive with Wemby but as soon as our guys tried the same defense against Deni, whistle came in fast lol

informal interviews for his replacement behind his back while Splitter is literally coaching in the playoffs is literal scumbag behavior. Tiago deserves better, f that cheap mfer tbh.
Can we get him on the Spurs coaching roster

All those guys had big games during the ‘03 title run. Ferry showed up for game 2 of the Suns series when Willis got suspended and Robinson couldn’t play due to knee problems and got a ton of rebounds. Steve Smith was big against the Suns in game 6. Willis helped out a lot against the Lakers when it came guarding Shaq.

I don’t see Bismack or Kelly being instrumental in any wins during the playoffs. Both look like they got nothing left in their tank.
