IIRC it was a family thing. His older brother Ron Harper Jr also went Rutger
Yeah, I am pretty sure he said he wanted to go there because of his brother going there. Anyway, who cares where he went.
Did anyone else see the excited fist pump by Dwayne Wade of the broadcast team, after Dylan Harper made an important play? Maybe it was after the dunk?
Nah, I didn't see it.
I really didn't understand the Castle questioning in the first half, empty stats blah blah...
They've been putting fucking Clingan and Robert Williams on him, he has to be aggressive. I trust this mfer in big games more than anybody besides the Alien tbh. Dude is a dawg.
I thought Steph was trying his hardest in the first half. I thought this kid was showing he's not afraid of the moment and was trying his hardest. Yeah, sometimes he doesn't play smart, but it's not because he's scared of the moment. Sometimes, he takes it all upon himself to try and do it all.
I agree. His -20 was cause he was on the court with players who's balls shriveled up. Without him keeping us afloat until big dick dylan arrived this would have been a blowout.
Yep. Exactly right IMO.
Honestly, I think that challenge with Fox ended up changing the game. Avdija was pretty much doing whatever he wanted and getting the whistle before that. The refs really seemed to stop reacting to Deni's head-jerking after that.
Great call pointing that out. That was huge IMO. Forgot about that, but I remembering thinking at the time it was big.
This win reminds me that this team is a 3-guards offense with a dominant shot blocker. Nothing against Wemby but until he gets so much stronger, the offense needs to start from the guards attacking imo.
I get worried at times with Victor fucking up the offense. I'm not saying to take him out of it, though, but a bit more balance would be nice. I mean, maybe the guards got out of form and flow because Victor played in nearly all those games the last two months, so they go used to running the offense through him? Maybe that's what it was and they had to readjust and just weren't ready for it that Denver game and Game 2 of the playoffs. Not saying that is the whole reason, but might have played a small part.
This issue is that literally every championship level team has good size on the wings so it's not like that is going to get any easier going forward. That is sort of a required thing in todays nba.
Devin was fine defensively but one of the reasons why the offense was in such a slog until Harper came and saved the day is because he didn't make shots you need players like him to make if you are really trying to be a championship level team.
Yeah, Devin has to be better on offense and make more of those shots. He played great defensively and also went for rebounds which was huge, just gotta keep that up on defense and step it up a bit more on offense.
Dylan going at Scoot was the turning point in this game. I feel Scoot has been playing with too much swag in this series which has allowed him to play out of his ass. Once Dylan started going aggressively at him that's when Scoot's confidence started to fade and then he started to brick the shots that he was making prior to Dylan going at him.
Fucking sick that Dylan was the guy that got him off his game a little bit. Dylan playing great, but also, getting Scoot off his game was just as big.
They shouldn't get overconfident and think they don't need Wemby to win this series. If he clears, he needs to play.
You don't try doing silly stuff that you might do in regular season in playoff games, you just don't. If he's good to go, he plays IMO.
