Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 3: Blazers vs Spurs (1-1) (Fri 04/26/2026) [9:30 CDT]

Are the Spurs part of the "clearing" him process? Because if they are and he's "cleared" then why wouldnt he play? If they're still worried then I'm sure they'll have a say in "clearing" him and he won't be available until after Game 3.

I understood NBA is in charge of the clearance but Spurs can decide to let him out despite of that tbh.. If I'm Spurs and I trust my roster I go without him game 3 and get a bit more time to monitor, better to be over cautious than not enough.

Scared money don't make money, play him if he clears protocol! Really no reason not to if he is feeling ok.

This isn't a muscle injury, he wasn't diagnosed with a concussion and there's no danger of him making it worse...well, unless he faceplants on the floor again.
There won't be any minutes restrictions or whatever. He's either cleared to play or he's not.
I am pretty sure having a concussion would mean that it is easier to get a concussion later on.

Given his head injury, the cabin pressure during a flight might pose a greater risk than playing in a game.

Man if Wemby does indeed end up playing tomorrow you can imagine he's gonna be pissed. His team just lost a very winable game without him in which he was forced out of because of a fluke play....
He was already determined.

I agree with you.

He's going to play pissed. Hopefully, the rest of the team matches.

I've been saying that ever since they said he was traveling with the team.

The fact that he's been cleared to get on a plane is a good sign.

Castle just needs to play smarter. Quit forcing so many bad, contested shots and hoping for a call. He's also being a fouled some and not getting calls, but it's the Playoffs, so zebras are going to swallow their whistles more often than not unless you're a star player. He hit a couple 3's last game which was encouraging. I do think Mitch should stagger he and Fox's minutes more though.
Agreed! Castle’s shooting percentage is low partly because of fouls not called and partly due to attempts in tough situations. On at least one of his missed layup attempts, he was obviously fouled by two different defenders who were not called. On another play his leaping ability game him a difficult tip-in attempt in a crowd. He missed, which I believe counts as a missed shot, but he was the only Spurs player to even give it a go. I like his hustle and his knack for being in the right place to get involved in the action.

YES! The eggs are working, bring more eggs!

They didn't drag him along on the trip to not play either game tbh. He's playing at least 1.

It really is kinda malpractice to not have a serviceable 3rd center. Spurs don't trust any of them and would rather play small then play one, pretty crazy. Feels like we haven't seen Kelly or Plumlee in any meaningful minutes almost all season. Are they really so bad as to be worse than playing Keldon at center??? I was kinda excited when we added Plumlee, he always seemed like a decent backup big, is he really that washed? I don't think we have seen enough to determine that.
