Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 3: Blazers vs Spurs (1-1) (Fri 04/26/2026) [9:30 CDT]

Im seeing Edgecomb do a good job on Tatum. Not much to expect Harper and CB contain Scoot. Right guys?

well, that sucks. Time for the rest of the team to bring it because so far a lot of players are underperforming (Fox, Castle, KJ, Harper, Champagnie)

He’s going to need a lot of help. Don’t expect him to carry us. I’m not.
You’re right I shouldn’t expect our highest paid player, a former CPOTY and one of the only guys with playoff experience to do well (I already wasn’t but typing this out is so sad). Happy to eat crow…

Everything you just said is correct. He should be carrying us. But on the road, hostile environment, do I think he’s going to have some monster game? Absolutely not. He just better do his part.

Well time to see what this young team is made up. Backs against the wall, reeling from a choke, and best player out, how do we react?

Nope. I just want him to not screw up (4 first quarter TO, bricked stupid 3 pt attempts, brick Ft etc) Just feels so gross that this is feeling like it’s too much to ask.

I fear spurs will regret this decision. We only have 1 center that we are willing to play!
The Spurs could literally be back-door swept and not care if Wemby's (neurological) health is at any kind of risk. The Spurs and the city have a 10+ year plan that goes far beyond simple wins and losses. Wemby is the keystone of billions in revenue, not just for SA, but for the League. There's no way they're risking it on a game we should absolutely still have a great chance to win without him.
