NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Closeout games are when final desperation sets in for the losing team. This is why they are never easy even for a veteran, championship team like the Celtics playing at home.

Does anyone know why Buddy Hield doesn't get playing time with the Hawks?

Figured they could use his 3 point shooting when main rotation doesn't have it.

So the WCF will be the "real" NBA finals....

I guess this will be the same for the next 5 years unless some major injuries happen to the West or the league finally awaken to change to 1 to 16 seeds

I mean KD probably wasn't wrong about Jabari tbh :st-lol:
I remember getting into it with someone here who said that Jabari Smith was an elite defender and worth $25 million a year.

I forgot who that was but I’ve been down here in H-Town the entirety of that bums career and been to plenty of Rockets games and I can say that dude sucks. And Houston is stuck with him and that shitty ass contract.

I'm still puzzled about noone giving Larry Bird shit for his EOTY award...after all it was the year he traded us Kawhi.
But yeah, I guess they just wanted the MVP/COTY/EOTY thing.
We saw Kawhi and PG teamed up together on the Paper Clips. They didn’t even make it past the second round never mind back to back ECFs like Bird did in 13,14.

Derrick White has been insanely bad in the playoffs.
Feels like he's lost a step overall (turns 32 in July). It's reason why, along with their lack of quality bigs, Boston will likely lose to whoever comes out of the West. They need Derrick to be a great third wheel for them because they aren't as deep as years before. But this is just flat out ugly :st-lol:.

I see KD as a more realistic oportunity and way cheaper also. In a Kawhi trade, the Spurs would need to give picks away, in a potential Fox-KD trade we would be the ones getting picks, or at least we wouldn't need to give away any.

Also, we would be keeping the Spurs motto of doing right by the player by sending him to his home town to a team with contender aspirations.

Stop the Fox trade talk already. He’s a big reason why the series is 4-1. Twice he carried the team. I know Spurs have Wemby, Castle, Harper, but sometimes it takes a Fox to takeover games. I’m glad the Spurs got Fox. He’s the perfect guy for that job, still one of NBA clutch

Watch White put up 30/7/6/3/2 in game 6 tbh.
