Voiding the contracts seems like it's letting the Clippers off easy. Kawhi should be suspended for the duration of the contract, with the Clippers paying all that money to the league to be divided amongst the other owners (or even better, donated to a charity... maybe one that plants trees). The Clips and Kawhi should be given the harshest of punishments here, but the trouble is how it inadvertently rewards OKC and PHI. OKC has this year's pick as we know, but they also have swap rights next year, and then PHI has LAC28 and a swap on LAC29.That is an interesting question though. Could they void the remaining contract to kawhi next year?
Maybe the hold up on this investigation is Silver trying to find a balance between punishing the Clippers while not disproportionately rewarding the Thunder and Sixers.
