definitely steps in the right direction. The fact that they are marketing these as “bold, simple” has me worried this is the least conservative they’re going to get, but definitely copping one for me and the kids.

LOL I had a buddy who used to sell counterfeits and had me do a color change on that specific jersey so I have one in white with different color ways on it. Those counterfeits looked better than the real deal shit and all stitched. I wonder where that dude is these days and if he's still selling all those jerseys.

Buying sports jerseys at retail price is the biggest scam, especially with these modern technologies which make them all about performance for the players and not about build quality and durability.
$150 for a sleeveless basketball jersey? Fuck off, where's the logic in it costing the same as higher end sneakers?



I'm not sure I like that pattern inside the 3pt line, but the court looks nice.

Replica jerseys usually go for $80 these days from Fanatics and are regularly on sale for even less. I got my black Fox jersey for $49 last year IIRC. Like you said, no real need to get authentic jerseys these days since they are built for player performance not for repeated wear by tortas.

Do the Fanatics ones look worth a shit? God I hated those wide shouldered Reebok jerseys everyone got in the 00s for ~$40 or so but loved the ~$70 Nike Swingmans that looked much closer to the real thing.

Damn that one on the bottom is sweet. When a damn black Spurs T-shirt with "Wembanyama 1" on the back is $40 at Academy I don't mind buying the counterfeits.

They're definitely higher quality than those cheap jerseys you could get at Academy or HEB back in the day... but they are definitely a step below the Swingmans. I have a high quality jersey from the first time we had the Black Fiestas (custom Elliott #32) and it's definitely a much higher quality than the $80 Fanatics one. With that said, I'm not complaining about the $80 Fanatics. You get what you pay for, but it's nice enough.
 
Here's the cheap "Fast Break" ($80) versus the more expensive "Swing Man" which is the higher quality replica ($120) versus the Authentic ($200).

Funny enough I have a game worn Mike Mitchell jersey and the thing is pretty tight on me at 6'1" 185 lbs. Guess a big difference between my size and him at 6'7" 215 lol. Makes sense those were made for athletes with six-packs and makes me think of Patton Oswalt's bit about John Varvatos jeans.

Just checked and the black Castle I bought last year is a Swingman. Fuck I want that red Wemby Allstar Swingman but they only have it in XS. Will probably blow $120 on a Wemby Fiesta Swingman when they become available as much of a cheap bastard as I am.

I might go for a Wemby in the new gray statement jersey since I already have a Black Fiesta and a black road jersey (Fox #4).

I want a Castle or Harper... but I have a suspicion one of them might eventually get moved, and I don't want to be blamed for buying the jersey of the guy who does :st-lol:
 
I'm so glad they brought these back. And the court is straight 🔥🔥🔥. Now to plan to attend a game when they're wearing these.
