NBA NBA All-Star weekend, February 13th-15th, Intuit Dome, LA

That's the spirit. :st-toast:

One thing I do hate is all the over-the-top production...the musical acts, the b-list celebrities and social media influencers, Kenny yelling "ITS OVAH!" into the mic every ten fucking seconds...

Last year they literally stopped the All Star Game during play to do some awkward tribute to the Inside The NBA guys. Nice sentiment, but not in the heart of the goddamn game.

When 60% of the production is other nonsense, it's too much...just let us watch the basketball we tuned in to see.
Yeah. Last year was horrible. Probably among the worst all Star games ever. With even players like SGA getting visibly irritated with the stupid honoring the Inside Guys routine.

The Rising Stars games this year weren't half bad, I thought. They were somewhat competitive.

I hope the All Stars take the cue from Wemby and make it interesting. It is frustrating seeing NBA players being paid so much money and delivering duds every All Star Game..Its worse than tanking!

Carter Bryant, who has shown up in the last few games: “I don’t want to play basketball just to be a role player. I want to be among the greatest of all time. I want to be in that conversation. A lot of these guys have a mentality like: ‘I don’t give a f—’. You have to be a little ‘crazy’, in the sense that you have to believe in it fully, sometimes even irrationally. I had that kind of faith in my work, in what I was putting into practice… except that it just wasn’t showing up on the court yet. I’m sure everyone could see it.”

Over the 3 games before the All-Star Break, he posted 11.7 PTS - 42.9% - 4.7 REB - 1.3 AST - 1.3 BLK - 17.7 MIN.
