You shouldnt even be allowed to shoot free throws in something like this. Thats weak.Hopefully they fix this for next year imo. Should've just given Team Carter the ball out of bounds.
i disagree, if he had missed they would call it a chokeYou shouldnt even be allowed to shoot free throws in something like this. Thats weak.
They should have made twos count as 1 and 3s count as 2 in the final."Score X to win" should ban FTs. You can call foul and restart from the sideline
Three Rising Stars!I'm feeling especially grateful and awe-filled today to realize we have 2 All-Stars, 2 Rising Stars and 1 Slam Dunk Competition participant this weekend. It was barely over a year ago we were debating whether Tre Jones should be playing more, Zollins, Branham, Wesley, Sochan were among our playing time candidates. Just ridiculous to see us here today. I don't think we should take ALL the credit, but, this didn't happen until the Baseline Bums came into being.
Only problem with that is teams might go foul-happy and could risk injury"Score X to win" should ban FTs. You can call foul and restart from the sideline
Boohoo. Injuries are generally freak accidents anyway. I love the intensity.Only problem with that is teams might go foul-happy and could risk injury
If it's intentional then have it be a technical FT and ball imo.Only problem with that is teams might go foul-happy and could risk injury

Destiny's Child? Dude is an old soul tbh.
I made a thread about this while on SpursTalk and got pushback. I don't know why the hell for.I really like the rising star game format
They tried it for the ASG a few years ago and it helped slightly. Problem is a lot of the players still didn't get up for it.I made a thread about this while on SpursTalk and got pushback. I don't know why the hell for.
It's clear that these short games, tournament format with a fixed score to hit is the best way to keep the play competitive and the guys engaged.
I don't know why they use this format for the rising stars but don't use it for the whole thing. It's way better.
They are not going to get up for it unfortunately. It sucks for the fans, but these players make so much fucking money these days they just don’t give a shit anymore. I’m not really in favor of canceling the game altogether, but it’s getting very close to that point of just doing it. You literally have all-time great players like Kevin Durant saying well “it’s not our fault. The game sucks”. It’s bad. They tried it for the ASG a few years ago and it helped slightly. Yup he's from Riverside. So like an hour East of LA. I think he's going to be a Spur lifer though tbh. Or at least the majority of his career. Kid is a quintessential Spur in terms of his personality and how he carries himself.
what? LA is CB's hometown?
MATFO better look out during his free agency
I hate to see it go completely but I agree for the most part. It seems like it’s pretty much beyond saving. Once you are coming up with all these gimmicks to try to get people interested it’s just a dead entity..As an NBA fan for 20+ years I’d be happy if they just scrapped the AS weekend. I haven’t had interest for over 10 years. Just announce your all stars and have a 5 day break or something and that’s that. Or just use the extra week to spread the games over and have less back to backs.
