You are getting it wrong tbh and judging only offense and even there you are wrong.

Even shooting badly he is drawing so much attention that it opens lanes and shooting for the others.

So it is more like Defense Detroit A+, Toronto A offense C

At the end dude is +34 in those so called bad games

the team's defense really isn't good either, it's not like we're holding teams to double digits ppg most games. The team gives up way too many open threes and even in the paint Wemby is actually surprisingly easy to score on, either you pump fake and take the easy layup or you stick your body into him to neutralize the shot block. You just don't fling a casual shot near the basket because that will get blocked easily.

Nobody hold teams to double digits most nights. OKC, the best defense in the NBA,has an opponent PPG of 108. You’re living in the past if you expect regular double digit opponent scores.

Three things that we were collectively hoping for this year. One was that Fox would commit to defense and start playing smart winning team basketball. He's definitely doing that. He's so comfortable at knowing when to take his own shot, when to pass, when to drive. His shot selection has gone way up. Very happy with him.

The second was that DV would be making an impact and playing whether his jumper was going in or not. He's doing that as well.

Lastly, the development of Carter Bryant cannot be understated. He's playing within himself. He's playing smart. He's making shots. His defense is unbelievable, and his energy is contagious for the rest of the team.

A quick aside: Notice that thing where the Spurs used to just give up baseline 3 pointer after baseline 3 pointer has just completely disappeared? Kind of weird.
 
What a senseless loss yesterday to Denver. Holy hell though, the refs were letting Denver beat our guys up endlessly, especially Jokic; looked like bully ball of the 90's for a minute.
 
Hi - my sheet hasn't captured any community grade submissions since the MIL game. Can someone confirm whether or not they have been submitting grades and my sheets are broken... or if the momentum just fizzled on this?
 
ive been awful at getting grades in all season. usuall because i couldnt watch the full game and dont want to give incomplete/inaccurate grades, other times because im a lazy SOB and cant be bothered to click a few buttons

also it doesnt feel right to just punch in grades without a writeup, so if im too lazy to write, im usually too lazy to input a grade too

sorry all

No need to apologize. My interest in the project has definitely waned a bit as well because I don't think the output is necessarily all that valuable. I don't think any of us are that interested in looking back at Dylan Harper's grade trends over the course of the season, for example... we all just have a pretty good inherent sense of how we feel about each players progress and don't really need the dashboard or individual game grades.

In either event, this isn't something I think I'll do next season.

i think we should assign a game grades column to whoever starts the game thread. put some skin in the game. you want the glory of starting a thread? commit to watching the game and writing something up

I submitted all but one I think. it's true the historical look back isn't especially valuable but I will say that main thing that I look at in spurs forums is post-game analysis and it seems like one of the best ways of facilitating at least a few good post-game analysis opinions that I like to read. I'll admit I don't really enjoy too much other disjointed forum discussions as much.

If it does end up ending I'll say at least thanks for doing it this year @scott.
