We're in unknown territory hereFun Fact: No Spurs team has gone 6-0 either... let's change that tomorrow.
To follow on to your point about rebounding, we're 3rd in RPG, but actually #1 in Reb%. What a turnaround! I've been very impressed with both Champ and Devin on the boards. Some micro-observations:
Team Rebounding has improved so much from last season. Hope we can sustain this. Corliss, is this your handiwork?
- Champagnie has doubled his rebounding numbers from last season. 6.4
- Castle is at 6 rebounds, Kornet 8.0, Harper/KJ/Vassell in the 5-6 vicinity
- Wemby with a league-leading 14.6
- 3rd in league
Assists are well-dispersed with 7 players averaging 2 or more. Much better ball-movement than last season. I think there's still room to grow here.
Spurs are getting better looks as a result. We are 4th in the league in FG%. That's unreal after the shitshow of the past few seasons. We're learning to maximize the attention that Wemby receives, finally.
Defensively, Sweeney has upgraded the schemes to maximize our talents around DPOY Wemby. That's a beautiful thing to see. We've been in the 1-3 range in this minuscule sampling.
I really like what I've seen from Mitch so far. Pulling Harper for not attacking in the 4th qtr against Miami is totally the right reason. I feel like he really knows his personnel and will be able to push the right buttons. Is there a rookie coach's wall?
Gotta keep riding this fun fact until the wheels fall off.Fun Fact: No Spurs team has gone 6-0 either... let's change that tomorrow.
Looks like they’ll be back Wednesday then!I feel like they might hold out Fox, Sochan, Olynyk until after their first loss to prevent any narrative about why they loss.

I had no problem with the guys celebrating that 5-0 thing a bit - and if it meant something to them it only shows they are invested in the franchise and its history. It only looks dumb because they lost the next game.I never even opened this thread until now. I was going to come in and post the other day to say it literally means nothing. Not sure why the media hyped it up. It literally meant nothing. I'll take the way TD, Manu, TP lead teams finished over a franchise "record" start.
To me it wasn’t the loss that makes it look dumb - it was how they lost. Complete loser mentality in that game.I had no problem with the guys celebrating that 5-0 thing a bit - and if it meant something to them it only shows they are invested in the franchise and its history.
