Your all time disliked 10 Spurs players

No Parker or Manu is surprising given the amount of ridiculous back-and-forth for like 15 years on ST over those guys.

Kawhi Leonard made me literally stop following basketball for three years. That's pretty much where the list ends if we're talking about dislike.

Spurs that otherwise frustrated me were Rasho, RJ, Collins, Gregg Popovich 2020-24, Dennis Rodman, and Rodman's best buddy Jack Haley who inconceivably managed to maintain an NBA roster spot for the apparent sole reason that he was Rodman's best friend on the team.

Kawhi Leonard

Everyone else just doesn’t measure up to the hatred for that clown. Forever grateful he played a big part in winning the 2014 championship. Outside of that go play in traffic asshole..

Kawhi
Forbes
Primo
Samanic
Blair
Collins
Nando
Jefferson
Beno

I see several people mentioning Samanic in this thread. As an FYI, the NBA Store has Spurs Samanic T-shirts on sale for Cyber Monday.

Jeremy Sochan
Bryn Forbes
Josh Primo
Nephew
Dennis Rodman
Marcus Morris (For the five minutes he was supposed to be a spur)
Demar Derozan
Zach Collins
Luka Samanic
SJax

Robert Horry
Tim Duncan
Manu Ginobili
Tony Parker
Bruce Bowen
Brent Barry
RC Buford
Gregg Popovich
Tim Donoughy
David Stern

LMAO

Derozan hasn’t been mentioned enough. Just a losing style of play, whines and melts down emotionally. The poster child of good stats empty calories player

whenever the game gets close you can always count on him to mess it up. horrendous player. at least he's made himself rich

kawhi found a way to make both my top 10 liked and disliked players

in no particular order

Kawhi Leonard
Bryn Forbes
Richard Jefferson
Hedo Turkoglu
Malaki Branham
Rasho Nesterovic
Jeff Pendergraph/Ayres
Zach Collins
Keith Bogans

and last Josh Primo is a weird one, so i'll elaborate. i didnt actually hate the guy until we learned he's a pervert. but to me, he represented the nail in the coffin to me as it related to PATFO's draft evaluation (not surprising that the next draft is when we took Sochan, Branham, and Wesley). not only did he Primo picked absurdly high, but i remember timvp articles in the following offseason stating that the spurs brass sees him as a legitimate face of the franchise guy. i really just never understood what they had been seeing out of him, and so i hated what that represented, more than i hated how shit of a player and person he wound up being

I'm not sure this is the time or place to mention this . . .

But there is always Chris Paul.

Not because he is an all-time disliked Spur but because there's nowhere else to say this.

Chris Paul got released by the Clippers this morning basically because he's Chris Paul.

A guy who just can't stand by when he sees things he can't stand -- like the Clippers.

I was there at that Game 7 in 2015 when CP hit that ridiculous high-off-the-glass bank shot that sunk the Spurs' chance for a repeat.

Never thought I'd say a good word about him.

But his performance on our Spurs last year made me change my mind.

So, all the best to you Chris going forward. He has the heart of a warrior (no pun intended).

It's crazy how the clippers did him dirty. They just want to lose in peace I guess.

A. Carr

Matt Bonner...this piece of shit stole money and roster spots. Literally, they could have replaced him with over 3 dozen players and we probably have an extra chip or two because Bonner was a fucking choke artists who never hit any meaningful shots his entire career with the Spurs.

Malik Rose...he's the Black Bonner with no 3pt shot, but far more heart and physical and mental toughness. But, like Bonner, he was a bottle neck stunting the Spurs' real potential on every roster he made.

Gregg Popovich...yes, he won us 5 titles and was essential in building our Dynasty, but he's also the reason we didn't reach the utopias this team would have reached with a more daring coach. Pop was so stuck in his ways, this man cost us COUNTLESS games and playoff series because of that. The Spurs never back-to-backing is more heinous than Jerruh Jones fucking the Cowboys out of a three-peat. He might be the most over-rated basketball personality behind Kobe Bryant.

I remember when Haley subbed in against the Nuggets and started a fight with their littlest guy. His name was Greg Grant or something. He was an end of the bench player with a perpetual surprised look on his face. Watching Jack Haley square off on that poor guy was simultaneously hilarious and tragic.

It's always the time or place to mention this: fuck Chris Paul. Little flopping RBF douchebag.

I dont dislike Rod Strickland enough to put him on this list, but that overhead out of bounds pass against Portland in the playoffs was one of the most infamous Spurs moments. I honestly think it impacted his whole career, though, in my view still one of the best handles I’ve ever seen.

Also, what ever happened to Willie Anderson?

Well, fuck you, too.

Definitely one of my most disliked NBA players of all time, so I was a little surprised how much I tolerated him as a Spur.

I'm surprised so much Turkoglu hate exists. He had a solid season for us playing out of position as a spot up shooter. I know he disappeared in the playoffs, but Bonner did that every year for years and didn't make a single list here.

I always wondered what could have been if Pop changed up the offense a bit to have Turkoglu as a point forward creating more of the offense.
Bonner hardly ever played. Turkoglu was counted on for more.

I liked ORL Hedo a lot more than Spurs TurkeyGlue, which is easy to say... but I think I also liked SAC TurkeyGlue more than Spurs TurkeyGlue. I just remember being frustrated by him here, despite him having a great year shooting.

Hedo is another guy who was just before his time. I'd love to see guys like him, prime Peja, etc. in the modern NBA where it would be acceptable to see them put up 12+ 3PA/100. Peja did it late in his career, but with SAC (which is how I'll always remember Peja) he was only a career 7.7 3PA/100. Hedo was only a career 4.4 3PA/100 guy! By comparison, Devin Vassell is a career 9.6 3PA/100.

Would have loved to have had Peja on the Spurs... but he and Hedo were just both before their time.

hedo was here for one season shot 26% from the field in the lakers series

That was surely the source of the frustration... .429 from 3 against MEM (.412 on 2PA) and .286 from 3PA (.227 from 2!!!) against LAL. Yikes.

Red Mamba did good during the 2014 OKC series and somehow able to neutralize Ibaka :st-lol:

Malik Rose did good during the 2003 playoff title run.

Both contributed to a title and that is good enough

Bonner in his right role as the 4th big was solid. Pop thinking he’s Splitter/Oberto and starting him next to TD was not it though.

Bonner hardly ever played. Turkoglu was counted on for more.
He only got one season and was played way out of position. He was never a spot up shooter in his career. As a point forward where he could get 3s off of ball movement and rebounds/broken plays? He was very good.

I put his poor fit here 99% on Pop for not letting him do what he does well. Trying to force a fit always backfires.
