ROFL Sekiro makes Dark Souls look like Yoshi's Crafted World. Piece of advice: do not play it like a Souls game, if you stubbornly try to you'll get 5-10 hours in and reach a skills check boss who will 100% wax you every single time. Gotta learn the sword deflection and parry system. Souls games you can play a lot of styles from defensive hide behind a shield to being a tank to being an aggressive hit and roll character who snipes hits but there is only one way to play Sekiro.

its definitely different. i think in some ways its easier... dark souls has some very vague progression points, particularly 1-2 as far as generally knowing what to do next.
i also think basic mob enemies in sekiro are much less threatening than souls games, but with how quick attacks are in sekiro (no real wind up or notable weapon swing time)... you can kind of plow through basic dudes.
but as far as having to TRULY master a boss to get past them? yeah sekiro is tougher than the other games. you also cant make an OP character and just demolish health bars the way you can do in souls game with the right builds
