Player The restricted-age video store section of Dylan Harper

In Castle & Harper we got our Ginobili-Parker 2.0 sideckick-ing the all-time franchise Big except that their respective primes will overlap for the (hopefully) entirety of their Spurs careers..

I am definitely leaning to it being a 2 (a)- 2 (b) arrangement with Harper more in floor general role and Castle heavy on POA defense duties, slashing, and being more of havoc-wreaking force due to his superior physicality

who of y'all dickheads started the whole Parker vs. Manu thing back in the day? Because that's exactly what's about to happen here regarding these 2. Y'all just can't help it

I think the international aspect of France Vs Argentina added fire to the fuel for Parker and Manu.

I think Tony also did not hang out much with Manu off the court. Recalled that Manu was much closer to Boris, Tiago and Patty.

Harper has been saying that he has hanging out with Castle with off court activities as he believed that off the court friendship will help on court chemistry

i think we should start "Church of Castle" and "Church of Harper" threads. no fancy names, just keep it classic
I think everyone should have to answer a Castle-Harper question and pick a side.

Yeah, they're basically the same generation, just year and a half apart, while there was a 6 year gap and cultural differences between Tony and Manu.

The only kind of problems we'll have with those two are good problems because they'll both be too good to be the third option.
And then there's Fox.

I don't think there is much debate about ceiling tbh... if you compare year 1 Harper and year 1 Castle it is not even close. The fact Harper is already playing at 19 y/o like a seasonned NBA vet is crazy, his talent is off the chart, all comes easy to him and it will just get better with time. He has a feel for the game that is not commun at his age. I'm a fan of Castle don't get me wrong but Harper has a Harden with good defense potential tbh
True, Harper is a lot in advance even in terms of efficiency and overall fundamentals.

But Castle has something special in his demeanor and his athleticism above Harper there's a Butler ready to fight in him that I love.

It's a ridiculous luxury that we have and as much as I've changed my stance on Fox, it's only short term, in a year or so there won't be a place for him and the weight of his salary. Both Dylan and Steph will clearly be above him

I haven't see one post opposing them, not one...

This TP - Manu comp is stupid and it's not surprising it comes from Drunkford again

I think there's a difference between healthy discussion/debate around who's better between two Spurs players vs. constantly propping one up while totally bashing the other.

Someone saying "Man it's crazy but Harper really might be better than Castle already and he's the rookie." shouldn't be a crime :st-lol: Once they start spending half of their posts shitting on Castle and acting like Castle needs to step back to give Harper more opportunity, then that's a different story.

Agree with this......Castle sometimes forces shots just to create momentum for him and the Spurs.....whereas Harper exercises restraint

Harper looks amazing, but to be fair, he's stepped into a much better situation than Steph did in his rookie season. Steph had to help try and turn around a losing culture as a rookie. Both are playing great and I'm not willing to put a ceiling on either one right now.

Well said good Sir.....

Darn, was keen to hear what Manu had to say, but it's not in English.

You can tell even from this thread, it's got more pages that Steph's one. People are really excited for Dylan's play. I'm guessing it's the way he plays, flair he brings just playing his natural game out there.

Harper is just a much more skilled player and that’s no slight to castle, as castle just wills his moves to reality, which is another type of strength.

I’m just glad both are on the spurs. Harper with his skills and vision, castle with his strength and will, fox with his quickness and experience and all three have great IQ and are unselfish. Hope they grow into the best backcourt the league has ever seen.

I'm referring to an old spurstalk thread that was started years before I joined. Maybe put on your grandma glasses and read my comment again.

I am loving this new "Attach Files" option
