Player The restricted-age video store section of Dylan Harper

I see Harper and Castle as the best backcourt duo in the league in 2-3 years. Adding Wemby and 2 shooters and that could turn into a death lineup. The tanking for Wemby, Castle and Harper is already paying dividends. I'm so glad Baseline Bums was created right before the ascension started this season. Coincidence? I don't think so.

he really needs to work on putting more arch on his shot. It's too flat.

I didn't want to trash his shot, so since you brought it up, it doesn't look great. Not sure how good/consistent of a shooter he can be with that kind of arc on it. Doesn't give the ball a chance to go in if it's not dead accurate (you know, shooters touch/roll if you have good arc and rotation).

tbh the best backcourt duo for the next 5 years will be Luka + Reeves.

Either of them can easily explode for 40 pts triple double with 15+ FTA each :st-lol:

The 15 free throw thing is so true. It annoys the crap as out me as it's not a joke. I very true possibility either of those guys can get 10-15 free throws on a given night. "Given" being the key word.

True, those 2 are quite a spectacular tandem.....on offense. Castle and Harper might arguably have the potential to be a better 2-way backcourt pairing.
I also see the Lakers as historically trigger happy and could see them trading Reaves in the next 5 years. Giannis could be the LeBron replacement. Just sayin'.

AustinReaves , in 299 career games has 20 with double digit assists, and 8 with double digit boards. He has 4 career 40+ point games. He has 3 career triple doubles, basically 1% of his games. He’s 27. This is a clear case of over glazing.

Very impressive in almost all situations. They pressure and he makes the right pass or blows right by them for a high percentage lay-up. Selective with his shots, but feels like he only takes the ones he is sure of, otherwise knows where the shooters are. Moves like another left-handed legendary guard. Only 19. Scary the potential this team has.

That ballsy late game layup, man. Seen enough, Ginobili Redux:st-praise:

Luka and Reeves will get eclipsed by Dylan and Stephon’s defense ultimately.

He got caught napping on defense a couple of times against NO, but offensively, this was another really encouraging outing from Harper. This poised, smooth, smart brand of basketball coming from a rookie is quite something.

Those offhand buckets inside are sick. 3ball shot looks suss tbh
I was amazed at that shot/layup at the end with all the pressure and using his offhand, that was such a tough bucket to score with the game on the line and he made it look easy. He's freaking awesome finishing around the basket. I wonder if he has any kind of floater game as I see he uses the glass most of the time. I keep forgetting about his age too, and when I remember that (usually Sean brings it up), I'm even more amazed how poised he's looking. Not sure how much it's D-Harp himself, but Ron and Maria seem to have done a great job coaching him up.

I still get a bit iffy on his jump shot as it's a bit flat. Not sure how easily and with what kind of accuracy he can get that shot off under playoff type defensive pressure. I don't really care too much if with it being a bit flat he can get it off and with accuracy. Just never see him shoot many shots as he seems to be able to get to the rim so easily.

Rookie Harper is visibly better than rookie Wemby offensively. Best rookie on offense since TD and Robinson.

This kid looks like he's been playing in the NBA for 5 years, not 13 games. Players this young almost never come in this league-ready. And he's done most of it with Wemby out so there's nobody to draw attention away from him once he gets to the rim. He's going to be a problem for the league for a long, long time.

He's not better.
He's more polished and I'd say trustworthy. Wemby was erratic and all over the place, but still amazing.
