I remember around draft time that analysts and pundits said he was one of two players you could build a team around, the other being Flagg. Didn’t think too much about it. Thinking about it now.

That's ridiculous. I thought he played more minutes last night. Mitch still going light on the minutes with him in a game was playing great in. I'd been saying it after the all-star break that he should be getting a lot closer to 30 minutes. I really have no idea what Mitch is thinking.

Also, I just realized, I never thought about Dylan's thumb during the game. I'll have to go back and watch video, but did he have the wrap on it? I'm pretty darn happy if his thumb is feeling OK because I was worried about it going into the playoffs and even those first two home games, I thought it might be bothering him when dribbling and shooting. He looked magnificent last night shooting it and handling it.

I don't know if y'all remember Antawn Jamison. He played at Carolina with Vince Carter. Sort of a journeyman, but he was really good around the basket. Really good touch, got shots off at impossible angles, great footwork.

Harper reminds me of Jamison, maybe even better. The balance, footwork, shiftiness, ways he gets defenders off their spots, and then he gets these soft, perfect shots off with barely any space, it's super impressive. And Jamison was basically a power forward in that era. Harper is a guard. It's wild both his craft inside the lane with spins and counters combined with the shit he's making.

Everyone is talking about the dunk, but the way he cooked Jrue on that spin was even more impressive.
He's also already bigger than Jrue.

As I said after the game, Harper/Castle/CB/Wemby lineups will be the best defense in league history even if the 5th player is a contest winner from the crowd.

He brings the ball, scans the field, passes to best available option as 1st pass… Then get into the best available spot to receive 2nd pass and shoot….

If defenders are positioned well, he passes.

What was the most impressive thing to me is that he made a couple 3s that were not just any regular 3s, but shooter's 3s.
Get the ball, pass it back, relocate to a different position and have the catch->square up->shoot instantly sequence as the defender is closing down on you.
I personally don't expect anyone other than Vassell and Champ to make those shots on regular basis..

You can't teach how he responded tonight. He and Wemby both have that in them and its fucking SPECIAL.

By my count, Spurs have several players who seem to have “it”: Wemby, Castle, Dylan, and I’m even gonna say I think CB has it. His game just isn’t as polished as Harper’s.

That's the truth man. Dylan may have checked Scoot tonight. Scoot was starting to get out of control trying to act like he was slighted for not being the number 1 pick of the draft. I still think Scoot is good, but he screwed up trying to engage mentally. Spurs still have to account for him. The series isn't over.

Scoot’s on that galaxy gas if he thinks he was anywhere close to being the #1 pick. It’s offensive to even think that and it’s getting me riled up hahahah
