Victor "needs to up his stats" sure, actually he needs to become more consistent (in statistical terms). I say statistical because having stretches of 10/12 point games really look bad even though his game-breaking defense is always present. He should aim at what SGA is doing which is minimum 20 points every single game. However he's still only 22 and not capable of that yet. He will be.
Victor knows all that, and he knows his conditioning continues to be the key to the career he aspires to.

Also I agree, the MVP trophy is possible but not probable for Wemby this year. He's enjoying a big wave of (deserved) hype right now but how long will that last? Probably until our next L, we'll see, but what is true is that he is firmly establishing himself in the MVP conversation, and realistically at this point I think he would Top 3, which is incredible in only his 3rd season.
He can up his stats if he's playing 34mpg.tbh

Tonight:
30 year old Jokic played 40minutes
SGA played 39 minutes
Thats it.

if wemby wants a prayer at winning mvp over Shai, he’s going to have to continue producing at his recent levels the rest of the way and the spurs will have to finish the top seed.

If only one of those happens he should be able to push for second ahead of Jokic

Should already be ahead of Jokic at this point and assuming we stay @2.

Yea....given Denver regression, Wemby would be the 1st runner up after SGA if we just held on to 2nd seed.

Maybe just forget the MVP, Wemby will get the FMVP :st-lol: :vic-cheers:

MVP Feels impossible atp with how Shai is playing tbh.

Obviously much rather have FMVP, the fact that we’re back to talking about these things still sound insane to me.

The last time a player on the Thunder took an award from Wemby, it didn’t go so well for him, going forward. Might be the best thing for our playoff run if Shai DOES win.

True true lol. Wemby coming for both SGA and Chet would be epic

Nuggets just don't play enough defense. They can't get enough stops. OKC is really good though tbh. They're so deep and have so many shooters. They're going to be tough to beat in a 7-game series, especially where they have HCA.
It's giving me deja vu of the way I felt back in the early 2010s, Chesapeake Arena being a rough place to play

Great game between two WC heavyweights. Two MVPs giving MVP-worthy performances, lots of role players (like Hardaway Jr. and Ajay Mitchell) stepping up as well. I find it baffling that some people would watch this and then say that the Nuggets will be an easy out in the playoffs.

OKC is kinda becoming underated tbh... They made a statement with this win over Denver with a Jokic on fire. They are champs and favorites to keep dat crown.

I don’t think people are saying they’re as “easy out”, but they’re definitely in the beatable category by this team.
