If Tatum is close to healthy Celtics should come out imo. Could also see Cleveland.
Yeah, I meant 'i don't see' the Pistons coming out of East: no reliable second ballhandler or scorer after Cade, lack of shooting across the board, and physicality advantage diminishes in the playoffs as everybody turns it up..

Knicks will likely come out of the East imo. They just seem like the best, most complete EC team this year and they're playing good basketball right now. The only other team I could see coming out is a healthy Boston team if Tatum can get his legs underneath him before the Playoffs start. He already looked pretty good in his season debut last night so I think he'll be alright. They have the shooting, depth, defense, and Championship pedigree to make a Finals run. Otherwise, I think it'll be Sochan and the Knicks in the Finals imho.

We broke OKC for a while in December and it looks like we may have just broken the Pistons. We’ll see if they can recover the way OKC did.

Knicks kind of have the same problem as Detroit in that they only have one true creator in Brunson tbh. They have another player that can go out and get their own like KAT and a sort-of secondary creator in Bridges, but both have disappeared in the playoffs. They're also inconsistent as hell.

True, but they still have all the elements of a Championship team (Veteran roster full of players mostly in their primes, depth, lots of 3PT shooting, great defense, good rebounding team, etc.) and the field is weak this year in the EC. It's still the Knicks so I try to take it with a grain of salt, but this might actually be their year tbh. They're the one team I wouldn't want to see in the Finals if we were to indeed make it out of the West. They're a terrible matchup for us. Would much rather see Detroit or Boston or anyone else for that matter.

Generally agree, but I think Boston would be a worse matchup with a healthy Tatum imo. Don't think the Knicks are as bad a matchup as we think.

Stop it. :st-lol: The Knicks are a joke and Eastern conference basketball is a joke. If we meet the Knicks in the Finals we're going to party like it's 1999.

I'm not saying we can't beat them Robert. I'm saying they're a bad matchup for us and I'd rather play any of the other EC teams. Knicks just smashed us by 25 last week (scheduled loss tho tbh) and it took Champagnie hitting a Spurs' franchise record 11 3's to barely beat them by 2 at home a few weeks ago after we trailed by 20+ that game. We don't match up well with them for a multitude of reasons. That's all I'm saying.

I’m actually glad that cornball Tatum came back early, gonna throw a wrench into what bostons built all year
Nah I think he helps them tbh. He definitely makes D-White better. His numbers jump across the board when he plays off Tatum instead of having to try to be their 2nd scorer.

I'd feel better about that matchup if we had a big, physical 4 beside Wemby to help on the boards. Mitchell always dominates the glass against us (although he dominates the boards against most teams tbh) and gives them second chance opportunities that kill us. We can't play the French Vanilla lineup against them because Korndog's too slow to defend OG and Diawara so we basically just have to take it.

I fucking hate that OKC got McCain for nothing
Pisses me off. Darryl Morey sucks.
I'd hope for Phildelphia going down the toilet, but I can't even do that otherwise OKC get a better pick. F Morey.

Exactly this. These were my thoughts after the last NY game.

Would come down to Mitch trusting CB to play 15-20 mins, which is the only way I think they even get to the Finals tbh.

The Knicks either me. Brunson is allowed to do whatever he wants on the floor. The refs coddle any contact against him, but ignore most of his fouling on the other end. Against us, their role players seem to never miss their shots. When they do, they tend to secure the offensive rebounds and get 2nd and third chance points. They are really a tough matchup for us.

100% agree. 100% what I believe is the best chance of the Spurs accomplishing that. Raises the ceiling in a deep playoff run. HB will get torched if he's in the rotation and Carter is out of it or can't handle what the playoffs will be like.

Boston blowing the doors off the Cavs in Cleveland. Currently up 26 in the 3rd. They look damn good with Tatum back in the lineup already and he's not even playing like himself yet.

Darn. What an impressive season from Boston. D-White, what a player he's been for them and Jaylen Brown MVP level season. If Tatum is back and healthy, they have a real shot at it.

They let go of guys like Horford, Porzingis and Kornet and still had other players step up and fill in those roles.

Didn't Horford go to the Warriors to contend thinking that the Celtics would suck?

Lakers are a different team without that stat porn obsessed POS gumming up the works. I’d be livid if I was a lakers fan having lecuck waste a prime Luka year
