with the Warriors beating Houston in OT, we now have a 6 game lead (in the loss column) with 20 games to go. the 2 seed is a wrap tbh.

we can go 10-10 the rest of the way, and minnesota/houston would have to go on a 16-4 run to tie

3-6 in the west is fluid and dynamic, mostly differentiated by number of games played. They all currently have 23 or 24 losses. The Suns are outside of that, and two games back in the L column.

Random thoughts:

• #1 priority heading into the playoffs is obviously health and playing good ball.
• I don't really think this team needs to bracket watch. I feel like if they're playing their brand of basketball, they match up well with anybody
• That said, I think the toughest matchups would be OKC and Minnesota. With OKC and the Spurs all but guaranteed to be on opposite sides of the bracket until WCF, I'd have a preference of ducking the Wolves in the 2nd round even if it means Spurs sacrifice the 1 seed.
• All of the play-in teams are beat up. Don't really have a strong preference on who the Spurs draw in the first round but I think right now it'd be (in terms of want to draw): Clippers > Blazers > Warriors > Suns
• So to sum it up, ideal seeding to me would be:
  1. Spurs
  2. OKC
  3. Wolves
  4. Rockets
  5. Lakers
  6. Nuggets
  7. Suns
  8. Clippers

I really dont mind about who’s going to face in the 2nd round or houston, nuggets, whoever. if the spurs are really the best team they can beat anybody.

If he can put up the ancillary stats and let Brown/White be the primary options they can beat whoever comes out of the West too imo (though Denver would be a rough matchup for them).

I have a hard time seeing them get healthy for a playoff run this year which is why I don't fear them. And now Murray went down as well.
