The Celtics are much better than people gave them credit for, damn. Missing Tatum and Brown, but still blowing out teams. Wouldn't wanna face them in the Finals tbh.

Teams aren't doing us much of a solid these days, but as long as the #2 seed is secured, can't complain tbh

McCain is just a solid player and a very good shooter with range, getting him for a late first and a few 2nds was a great move by OKC.

this is the kind of shit that will doom the Spurs, he's on a rookie contract and has hops. Buford could have had him easily, but fucked it up.

Morey is an imbecile
Not an imbecile, but his hubris is his downfall. Dude had the nerve to say he thought they sold high right after the trade, had to see McCain's face when he was told about it... zero touch, piece of shit as a human being.

This would be pretty optimal. I'd worry about the Suns, but the rest of that side of the bracket isn't too worrisome. Of course Houston could be very good, but they play one style and we'd avoid the T-Wolves, Nuggets, and Thunder, only facing one if we move on. Meanwhile, the Hornets would shitcan the Hawks in short order.

Update:

6 more games against tanking teams.
Mavs, Kings, Pacers, Bulls, Grizzlies, Bucks.
I expect at least 5-1 here, probably 6-0 considering the tankathon is about to kick off.

8 more games against mediocre teams.
Hornets, Warriors, Sixers, Clippers x3, Heat, Blazers
I guess 6-2 would be fine here, hoping for 7-1.

7 more games against legit playoff teams.
Rockets, Nuggets x3, Celtics, Suns, Pistons
Just one Nuggets game is on the road.
I hope we can send a message at home and get 5 wins.
Unless we go 0-3 against the Nuggets, the second seed should be ours.

We need to go 16-5 to reach 60 wins, I don't think it's an unrealistic target anymore considering the schedule.
58 should be the target, I'd be disappointed with anything less than that.

I'd be pretty happy with what you laid out. I just want them to be super competitive even if they lose some of those games you highlight as possible losses.

Yes the dumbass self inflicted wounds (turnovers) needs to be cleaned up.

I think we end up with the 1 seed tbh. Tonight's Knicks/Thunder game will be a big determinant.

Why would the Spurs have wanted him? We don't need any more guards, much less giving up assets on that level to get one.

Buford? What happened to Wright? And who's guard minutes was he going to take?
