Might be time for the Spurs to just start angling towards maintaining the 2 seed tbh. While OKC has plenty of difficult games remaining their depth will allow them to win most of them while preserving their stars.

Jokic rushing himself back was a strategic mistake.. Did he really care that much about MVP? Weird and unexpected from him.. Clearly still hampered by that knee..
Still averaging a triple double. Dude cares about his team they are dogshit without him.

Plus it’s probably a pain tolerance thing his trainers cleared him

LOL? they are what, 2 games back? With months to go? lol

Yea...I think they will just keep it simple.

If everyone healthy, just win every game possible.

If anyone is injured (including Wemby), just put them on injury list and screw everything else like #1 seed, 65 games requirement etc. Do not accede to any players' request to play through injuries just to get 65 games requirement or force them to come back early to fight for #1 seed.

I think the Spurs is already following this plan tbh

Obviously there's plenty of time but its not like the Spurs have a cakewalk schedule themselves. Wemby is also looking gassed. Just don't want the Spurs to exhaust themselves gunning for the 1 seed only to fall short.

Point blank anyone who thinks the Spurs are going to mail it in with two months to go and to try to anything but get the #1 seed are out of their damn minds.

Some of you get so emotional off a single game. Nothing has meaningfully changed from earlier today. OKC is going to win most of their games from here on out. They are the favorites for the #1 seed. But the Spurs have a very real and significant chance to get it. Any talking about "angling away" from it or whatever the fuck with MONTHS left to go is wild.

Wemby has a couple of off shooting nights with huge defensive performances and people are losing their minds about him looking gassed. The Spurs do not need to change a damn thing from what they've been doing to win 11 in a row. They haven't had a cakewalk schedule and they have won 11 in a row. I just really don't understand the idea that the Spurs should pull back right now. I just can't square that line of thinking AT ALL.

I mean shit, if the #2 seed gives the Spurs the Rockets and Lakers on their side of the bracket I'd prefer it anyway.

Wemby is fine. Win or lose I think he has a big game on Sunday.

I never said pull back tbh. If they let up its possible Houston could overtake them with how easy their schedule is the rest of the way. However, its also a fact OKC has the elite depth 1-13 to win games without SGA while the Spurs are only deep 1-9/10.

Wolves are probably catching Denver for 4th seed if Jokic continues to look like this and Murray's month long regression isn't reversed.. Aaron Gordon alone isn't putting their season on track again

Theres a reasonable argument to be made there, but I promise you the Spurs are not going to get cute and let up. Wemby wants the 1 seed, especially over OKC. This whole team wants the 1 seed. They are going to play hard af to get it.

This team is hungry. They want all of these acolades.

Jokic has been shit in both OKC games this year with terrible defense. When Vic has an off game, at least he’s still elite defensively.

I really like how the a Spurs team on top of their game matches up with the Thunder. Hope we get a shot in the playoffs tbh.
