Per 36 minutes, you know when players are on the court.
Among qualifying MVP candidates:

Pts
1st FT Princess
2nd Donutcic
3rd Victor Wemby

So FT Princess barely beats Wemby in points while Wemby blows his shit away in every other metric, not the least of which is Defense.
Sure, but Wemby doesn't play 36 minutes per game, he plays 29.

Look, you don't need to convince me of Wemby's MVP case, I know it all and spread it like a virus on twitter; but to say SGA doesn't have a case for MVP when he so clearly does, is childish homerism.

Can't believe Victor has put himself in position to be in the top 2 conversation for MVP this season. Three to four weeks ago, people had him around 4th or possibly even 5th.

Just to remind everyone. Spurs loss both games in phoenix way back in november, won a game in san antonio where booker went out early in the first quarter, and won their last meeting two weeks ago on a wemby buzzer beater. Also wemby wasnt able to play against brooks this sesson who shut him down on every game they play 2 season ago.

So what im trying to say here is suns isnt an easy matchup for the spurs in the first round. Actually no easy matchup for spurs in the first round.

Wasn't the first Suns game of the season against the Spurs with Brooks playing in that one (6th game of the season I think it was)? Did Brooks not play in that game? That was the game that made other teams try and follow a blueprint to guard Victor which I was very happy about as I'd rather see Victor go through that during the regular season rather than teams pull it out for the first time during the playoffs. I think he's adjusted quite a bit during the regular season. I think teams have thrown different things at Victor during the season and it's been great. Back in the day, I remember teams saving that kind of stuff for the playoffs.

No. It was 2nd meeting on november 23rd. brooks played but wemby didnt play.

First meeting on november 2, wemby played but brooks is out.

OK, darn, I must have been remembering wrong this whole time.

Again, it's the league and the refs. Scott Foster has always been a horrible ref, and he is somehow worse now. Unbelievable.

I hope we get a few high leverage situations in the next few games against the Clippers, Nuggets, and/or Sixers. The tanking/injury ravaged teams we’ve played lately aren’t good for playoffs prep.

We'll get a few, Den battling with LAL and Hou, Por and LAC are still jockeying for #8, PG and Maxey are back and playing well and 76ers are fighting for both #5 and to stay out of the play-in.

It was only a light 10 days, but we beat Det, LAC 2x, Houston, Boston, and Cha last month. Only lost by 5 to Den w/o Wemby, smoked by NY but coming off of 11 straight Ws.
The first 16 days of March, we played the top 3 teams in the east and every single game was against a playoff or play-in team, 9 games in 16 nights. Then beat our likely first round opponent in a battle w/o Steph. 17 games in 32 nights overall. I think that's pretty solid playoff prep.

there isnt much of a disparity in strength of schedule anymore between us and OKC. theyve recently crushed their stretch of tough games, having beaten the knicks twice, nuggets twice, pistons, wolves, and split against boston. meanwhile we've just come out of the cupcake portion of our schedule, so the SOS has evened out. going forward...

we have cilppers and nuggets in common

our other 4 games are against Denver again (fighting for seeding), Philly (not a cakewalk anymore now that they're healthy) Porland (meh but not bad), and Dallas (bad)

their other 4 games are against Lakers x2, Suns, and Jazz

Lakers are 🗑️

It’s the Spurs and it’s OKC in the Western Conference for all of the media clowns. Give it up.
