Moses Moody's knee exploded going up for a transition dunk. Sucks to see tbh.
Kerr was alluding Curry might only be back for the play-in. Seems like they are stealth-tanking and hoping for a Mavs/Hawks-like lottery bump to a top 4. prospect. Should've pivoted to hard- tanking once Butler went out for the season.

I’ve never seen Curry play in person, so I’m a little bummed that might not be remedied when I go to our game against them on 4/1

Yeah don't see it. Now with this Moody injury, the plan is to rack up as many Ls as possible and then go out quietly in the play-in and hope for lottery luck a la Dallas..Surely a better outcome than getting throttled in a sweep to OKC

Holy crap. It seems like the injury happened as he was pushing up, but it's difficult to wrap your head around the fact that such a freakish and horrendous injury could happen on such an ordinary move

I’m not exactly holding my breath for the top seed but the cupcake portion of OKCs schedule is done.

Their remaining games:

@ boston
chicago
Knicks
Pistons
Lakers
Jazz
@ lakers
@ clippers
@ denver
Sons

It’s the hardest remaining schedule per basic strength of schedule calc and 3rd hardest with the craftednba formula

Meanwhile our remaining schedule is among the easier ones in the league. Miami was one of the hardest games we had left. Denver twice, one game at clippers, and nothing else of note

think we fall short by one game but will gladly take a Lakers/Rockets bracket. We have options for that last game against Denver.

Same. I watched it twice but don't really understand wtf happened there. All the best to Moody, obviously.

Catching OKC seems unlikely…but not impossible. It’s the only way Wemby wins MVP. I wish we had a late season head to head with them.
Here’s hoping that OKC’s remaining opponents keep having a reason to win down the stretch and aren’t resting players.

They think at most OKC would lose to Boston and Denver only. Even that I would still take OKC to win with a 70% chance against both Boston and Denver. OKC just has no weaknesses

Do we fully want the 1 seed? I know home court would be nice for WCF but the bracket seems a lot easier from the 2 seed spot

Any schadenfreude for Moody as a Warrior goes out the window upon seeing that picture. Ouch.
Here's hoping modern medicine can fix.

Warrior tank is 100% on if it wasn't already.
Not an ounce of luck in the Lakers - Nico - Adam Silver deal.

I don't personally want or care about the 1 seed. To me that's a bit of pressure they don't need - to not lose against an 8 seed.

RE: the Spurs not having gained any ground on the Thunder despite their insane winning lately - I was thinking of this last night as well, and it's even crazier: we have not gained any ground in the standings since before this thread was even created;

The Spurs are currently the #2 seed in the Western Conference, with a W-L record of 23-9.

The #1 seed, OKC, seems hard to catch up with at a 28-5 record, but we hold the tie-breaker against them.

OKC is currently sitting at 15 losses, and the Spurs at 18 -- meaning that over a span of 40 games, almost half a season, we have only gained a single game of ground on the Thunder. Just insane winning and consistency from the defending champs (and our guys, which is even more impressive given the initial outlook for the season).

I personally don't mind staying at #2, and was quite content with us keeping a top-4 seed at all, so it's been gravy. Seeing the way this team is firing on all cylinders, it's hard to be scared of any other team over a 7-game series, tbh. I'd even prefer to drop a game or two if it means we're sitting guys out and resting them for the postseason.

I am picking Boston to beat OKC coming up here. . You would think at home, They are going to win that game and be motivated. But OKC is on such a roll who knows?

Same shit with Andre Roberson. All he did was go for a dunk and collapsed. Crazy. I think Tony Parker had the same instance where he went for A floater and his leg just gave out

I don’t see us catching OKC at this point tbh, but you never know. I’ll be happy with the 2 seed and home court until the conf. finals against them..
