The problem for Sheppard-- and this hasn't been talked about much- is that he is not the shooter he was touted to be. Kon knueppel is who scouters thought Reed Sheepard would be. Add him being a midget sieve with mediocre playmaking and the tradeoff becomes too costly for a contending team. He is looking like a commonplace microwave role player and not a 'core piece'.

I think Sweeney is only jumping for a surefire young contending team in a lucrative market (basically doing a Thibs move from Boston to Chicago)..Not taking jobs in Orlando, Milwaukee when he can ride on the Wemby gravy train for a few more years as an Associate Head Coach in state tax-free Texas.
