Will the Spurs get HCA in the '25-26 Playoffs?

We not only weathered the storm, but created a big advantage for ourselves that allows us to play without much pressure for the rest of the season.
We have tw more Nuggets games, other than that it's just Clippers/Suns/Heat.
11-4 for the 60 wins is definitely doable.

I'd be disappointed with anything less, tbh.
26th in remaining SoS according to tankathon

I think chances are pretty low we make up 3 games on OKC from this point on. I'm not sure they're going ot lose 3 games the rest of the way, frankly. Pretty likely both teams win more than 60 which is insane.

The moves the Clippers made to get Garland and Mathurin were pretty brilliant. Gives them more scoring options.
Not having Zubac anymore will limit their defensive options considerably. Also, they will have to rely even more on old and often immobile looking Brook Lopez - or play small ball to a degree that might be not a good idea, but then again, Ty Lue seems to love small ball in the playoffs anyway, so who knows.
All the fair criticism about Harden as a playoff performer aside - I don't really believe in Garland as a reliable postseason guy (not for deep playoff runs, at least) either.

Zubac was more expendable by the emergence of their rookie. They definitely feel more fluid and dangerous now overall.

As far as our matchup with them is concerned, Clippers are a non-threat without Zubac and with Garland being an easy target for our guards.

Have you watched them? They're not missing Zubac at all. Garland is just a role player.

Garland is the Harden replacement and as big of a choker Harden is in the playoffs, he's still a better player than Garland.

They'll miss Zubac against us, Lopez and Niederhauser can't do anything against Wemby.

Nah, I think that's completely wrong. Getting rid of Zubac to me seems to have been pretty clearly motivated by cap considerations, wrongheaded as that might have been from a sports perspective. Harden wanted out, so the Clippers accomodated his wishes, and then they thought they might get rid of another contract in Zubac as well. The Clippers cap sheet is almost clean for the 2027 offseason, and they probably can easily move Garland before then if they want to.

Considering where that take is coming from, I actually like our chances against the clippers even more now in a playoff series.

Yeah, we definitely would've kicked the nuggets ass had Wemby played. Their fans were talking all sorts of shit, "Gimme the Spurs in the playoffs" "we'd sweep them". fuck outta here :st-lol:

Man I hope the Lakers somehow end up at the 3 seed and the Rockets at 6. Unfortunately the Nuggets only play two more good teams besides the Spurs again this season.
