I didn’t see the whole game. Some of the calls late were legit. But he has such a horrible reputation with baiting fouls, flopping, etc. I think they need to double team him a lot and get the ball out of his hands. Because he controls everything with those damn foul shots.
I didn’t even watch it. If detoilet wants to be spineless and put out the shitty Thompson twin and a bunch of losers against an unwatchable foul baity team doesn’t deserve my time

Most of the calls after it was 97-90 were pure bullshit. He got away with several pushoffs. Caruso got away with 2 egregious holds and a slap across the arm. SGA was flopping all over the floor and the refs laid out the red carpet to the FT line.

The way they let Caruso play is disgusting. Fouled the living shit out of Jokic last year in that series and was lauded as playing great defense

25fts is disgusting work NGL

I mean I know OKC is full of retards, but you can't convince me that watching your guy shoot FT after FT at the end of clutch games after rolling around on the floor like a dying fish is enjoyable. I'd be fucking embarrassed if I had to defend this guy after every game tbh. :st-lol:

Adam Silver is probably glad Wemby has arrived sooner than expected along with having Luka/Lakers as a backup plan so he can avoid the scenario of this abomination of Thunder team becoming a yearly fixture in the NBA Finals. He would have been fine with a KD/Russ OKC team, but this one lacks the juice and panache of a serial Finals team. Just a clunky, FT-merchants bunch.

They’re truly unwatchable. The definition of

Maybe they turn it up for the playoffs and they're still acclimating JDub, yada yada...

But if this is the Thunder team that the Spurs are gonna get in the playoffs, San Antonio is gonna straight up dog walk them. Give them all the bullshit whistles they want, won't fucking matter tbh :st-lol:

Uh, Silver honored Stern's dying wish to make sure OKC wins a championship to justify the whole Seattle move and all that crap. Remember, Stern made the original Thunderefs, and the KD/Russ teams were nauseating free throw parades as well

You didn’t even know Stern was dead until earlier today tbh

That's not true. I was referencing the 2012 shenanigans. I knew he retired in 2014 and died sometime during covid. Actually, not too long before Kobe's copter incident, iirc.

"Substantial Sanctions" I was re-kindling that flame.

At this point, Im more about us choking in the first 2 rounds than having to face OKC in the WCF. These guys really are poking Wemby, that series will be glorious.

FTA, Chet and these assholes might be the key to Wemby’s stamina problems. He might just go apeshit @38 mpg and blow his load before the nba finals
:st-lol:

Tbh I noticed some of the okc guys seemed to have little guilty smirks while sga was marching to the line repeatedly

i never considered sga harden tier ft merchant, but 25 fts is pretty darn ridiculous, the nba narrative is clear, they don't want to give it to wemby yet because they have to ride him for the next decade and they don't want people to get bored too soon. There is just no case for sga, just none.

If SGA is going to get that many calls in the playoffs, especially with the home court advantage in my opinion, we are definitely losing to them. Because he’s going to get all of our guards in major foul trouble. And it literally controls the entire momentum of the game. I think Mitch is going to have to pick and choose spots to double team SGA to get that ball out of his hands. If he’s shooting 25 FT a game we are screwed. I’d rather put a lot of pressure on their shooters to make high pressure shots, then have him at the foul line the whole goddamn game. Also, if he’s shooting that many foul shots starting in game 1 you have to go nuclear with the media in the post game. It’s a crock of shit.

Anyone thinks Mitch is gonna sit Victor in this last back to back of the season coming up? I hope not, but I believe it's a real possibility.

If they do that, that might also signal they're giving up on the race for 1st seed.

Needs to play 5 of the remaining 7 games for that 65 game threshold. I guess it’s a possibility.

Don't be a homer, bro. There is definitely a case for SGA. In fact, if the Thunder finish 1st, he should get it.

SGA and the Thunder could be Wemby’s “MJ-and-the-Bad-Boys-Pistons”. It’s good for Wemby to have a target in front of him, and get him himself stronger to thwart that competition. It will all be part of Wemby’s legacy
