News The Official Check Here Before Asking About Injury Return Dates Thread

Alternate theory - Wemby's clots are back. He wasn't looking right before the GS game where he got Karate Kid'd by that little chia pet POS.
I pondered with that as well after the injury announcement (altghough Wemby did not look bad, he avg. 28 points in the two games vs GS), but now that Mitch told the media that both Castle and Wemby are doing on-court stuff to work themeselves back I think we can neglect this theory.

Just wanted to let everyone know that not all Aggies are conspiracy nuts.

if the clots are back, that is the end of his career, the NBA is pretty clear about it. So, I think that the Spurs would announce it, there would be no reason to hide it.

Grade 1 calf strain is usually 2-4 weeks for recovery. The Spurs being on the safe side will probably go the full 4-weeks, which would be December 14th. Maybe they'll try the game against the Lakers on the 10th.

That's also my guess tbh..

If there is one thing I’m certain of, it’s that McDonald and “informed” have nothing to do with each other. That guy has zero insider information.
I unfollowed that no talent hack a couple years ago. All he did was post shit hours after it happened and acknowledge trolls during games. It'll be a splendid day when he gets his walking papers.

the fact that castle isnt even a lock to play a game more than a week from now is concerning
Slow healer? unlike Harper who is looking Parker-like in this department, consistently beating off injury layoff timelines

I sure wish I could watch my favorite team’s generational big man. wtf is wrong with our medical staff

if wemby's calf really was on the verge of falling off or something why did they let him finish the GSW game and play 38 minutes? today marks 3 weeks since his last game played

it's pretty frustrating. no doctor is going to put their ass on the line if there's a 1% chance of re-injury or associated injury. and no coach/GM is going to go against the advice of the doctor's staff. really a shitty era of the NBA we're entering.

our young stars can't go a couple weeks without sitting a month. meanwhile 50 year old Unc has played 338 straight games. smh

just ridiculous. I wonder if this is gonna lead to guys hiding injuries so the org doesn’t torpedo their season

I think for durability, you either have it or you don't. I don't believe anyone expected Wemby to be an iron man given his unique body. We signed up for a a healthy season essentially meaning him playing somewhere between 68-72 games instead of 76-82 games. We got that in his rookie season; last year was freak and rare occurrence, but definitely this one is not projected to be one. Just hope he makes the 65-game cut to be awards-eligible, but it is not looking good (10 games missed already and we barely in 1st week of Dec)...
