Player The Burgeoning 3&D American Sign Language Consulate of Carter Bryant

We are a plague on the All Star Week. Wemby should have been a part of the 3pt contest, tbh.

Wemby gonna participate in 3 pt contest at least 1 in his career.

This year they should invite Champ as he has hit a career high 11 3s

:st-lol: why the article still list CB at 6'6? He is legit 6'8....it is very obvious seeing him next to Castle and Champ.
Yea the dude measured 6’6.5 barefoot that’s an easy 6’7 listing. Would be 6’8 in the old NBA height 😂.

Crazy 8’10 standing reach too which is LeBron, Kawhi like size.

Castle for comparison is at 8’5 which is why he’s better off as a 2 where he has a clear size advantage almost every night.

I don't understand why he didn't see the court in the second half, I thought he was one of our better players in the first.

I'm one complete game from him away from saying "fuck it, let's just start the kid". Champ and Vassell feel like placeholders in the starting lineup while this kid could (should?) Be the future at the wing position.

I suggested starting him a few weeks ago when HB was really struggling. I saw enough flashes to think it might really pay off. I thought, since Mitch was playing him a few minutes every game, it would be better to start him and see how he goes, then if he plays well, keep increasing his minutes. Glad he's done it off the bench as I saw the flashes of potential coming through there weeks ago.

Arizona Wildcat on Arizona Wildcat crime in that Dunk Contest Final.

Carter had 2 of the 3 best dunks, including only 50. But damn, last dunk got him.

He should have had some non-lob dunks in reserve in the event something like that happened.
I agree. Lobs are also the likeliest of the self-dunks to fail. With his length, maybe try to out-do Keshad’s FT dunk because you have the wingspan advantage.

Two years in a row a Spur comes up just short.

Hopefully this whole weekend will just give him more confidence for the rest of the season and going forward though!

tbh this is an opportunity for CB if he wants to shave his head (on his own accord) and to prove to the team that he want to atone for the dunk contest and is in dead serious mode for the rest of season and playoffs.

As much as I wanted to see him win, I'm really ok with his showing and hope it makes him even hungrier.

The whole contest was pretty meh. I would have never thought, that I missed the gimmick dunks. Previously I really hated them, but if we had like one or two gimmick dunks (cupcake, double basket,...), it would have been more memorable. I'm not counting jumping over whoever.

Previously IIRC there was no time limit or number of dunk attempts...

now with all these new rules, I think everyone felt rushed and maybe limit their creative to bring extra props....unless they are super confident. Because they have to move the props away after 2 misses and go for a backup safe attempt for the last try. So it might not be worthwhile to bring in props and gimmicks

did anyone expect anything else but blown dunks from him?
His first three were actually all pretty clean. Especially his two highest scored. He went big for the final dunk, doing a gimmick skip pass off backboard and a mid-jump catch and windmill rotation 180* and the backward nature of the jam cost him. Don’t fault him for the attempts. This was his only dunk with actual misses.

Only thing that mattered from this is after years of Arizona Wildcats getting robbed in the finals, back to Iguodala a few times (Dwight and Nate) and Gordon (LaVine and DJJ/Wade vote), with a Carter vs Keshad Final, Arizona would finally have a Dunk Champion.

I enjoyed the non-gimmick dunks. Very few of them have ever registered for me. Sucked to see Jace Richardson literally get knocked on his back, but they were talking about his 38-inch vert, but he’s only 6-1, neither are very good for this contest. But he was better than his showing, too.

Exactly. If anything, no one would've expected him to actually ace his first 2 dunks and get to the final stage. He was surprisingly good in the contest, much better than we gave him credit for when the news broke that he'd do it.

Can't win them all, and it's especially sad to hear he couldn't convert his most practiced dunk. Shit happens
