I’m going to have to buy that magazine and frame it and put it on my hall of fame shelf (full of everything I like) tbh

Something to watch out for with there being a pretty viable pathway to All NBA 3rd Team (IMO) for Castle...

If he does make All NBA 3rd team this year (Year 2), then if he makes an All NBA again next year (Year 3) then he will have qualified for a "Rookie Super Max" extension (30% of the cap). This would be by virtue of making All NBA two of the three years ahead of his extension.

By contrast, Wemby cannot qualify for the Rookie Super Max this season by making an All NBA team or winning DPOY. He can only qualify this year by winning MVP (which I think it is safe to say at this point he probably won't). So Wemby will still have to play 65 games (unless they change this, but that would require a CBA amendment) and win DPOY or make All NBA again next year.

I haven't penciled Castle in for a Rookie Super Max in any of my projections... but we might just need to. If he does, it's about a $9.1 million difference in his starting salary in 2028-2029.
If I was an okc reporter I’d vote wemby mvp, castle all nba third team this year and next the. Harper all nba next year and the one after just to mess up our cap.

I just disagree with Dubs with KD as the best bball team of all time, that would be the 2014 Spurs! Not a homer answer, but the most unselfish display of teamwork, and most beautiful to watch.

I couldn’t hear the Shai answer. I’m not a big fan of Shai, or any foul baiting players that’s all.
I dislike foul baiting as much as anyone, but Castle does it too. The only reason players do it is because it works, in that it makes the offense more efficient. With the side bonus of potentially getting key opponents into foul trouble.

But Shai additional flopping turns me off, on top of refs whistle happy as if Shai needs more help. Castle is getting clobbered out there and still not getting calls sometimes, albeit he’s a 2nd year player and would be getting them eventually. Anyways if refs won’t overdo it, it’s perfectly fine as part of the game

Castle at least looks like he's initially trying to get a bucket.

Shai, on multiple possessions per game, looks like he's strictly trying to draw a foul which is frankly gross to watch. It's the reason why prime Harden was borderline unwatchable at times even though he's objectively one of the best offensive players in league history tbh.

How the fk dejounte got 17 triple double? Lmao. Didnt watch spurs games in tanking era 21-22 to 22-23 season.

Not surprising tbh. He was averaging close to triple double in his that lone all star season. IIRC 21 pts, 8 rebs 9 asts

Spurs play egalitarian type of offense. I was surprised murray had almost triple double season. Did he play ball dominant / stat padding style like luka or westbrook that season?

Apologies to DJ’s fans here. I’ll give it to him, he worked real hard on his game. But DJ was a stat padder, instagram gamer. He would gamble to get a steal, but oftentimes get burn, to get that “king of steals.” He stays behind for that long “rebound” instead of scurrying back for a fast break. It’s zero calories that’s why they don’t translate to W’s, much like Westbrook. Big difference to White who was a consummate team player
