Player The blessed howl's moving Castle of Stephon Javonte

Tbh I was never much into anime when I was a kid sans DBZ but in the last couple of years I've started watching it more and I've been missing out. Anime has a negative stigma because of sweaty nerds but some of its actually pretty fucking good
Based on having a 15-year old... there doesn't seem to be a negative stigma towards it at all. I'm not into it, but my oldest daughter has long been into Demon Slayer, then Naruto, then One Piece, and on and on... and it's pretty popular and mainstream amongst the other kids. Maybe it's a Hawaii thing, or maybe it's all over... but definitely not a thing amongst the nerds like it was when I was a kid

I actually did really love Robotech when I was in HS, I remember buying a bootleg burned copy of all the episodes on eBay back when a method of payment was mailing a check to eBay and then in like 6-8 weeks your shit would show up :st-lol:

Tried to show my daughter Robotech and she said it was for old people

Ronin Warriors ftw
I remember telling my dad to record Ronin Warriors on the VCR so I can watch it after school. :st-lol: I watched that and then my sisters watched Sailor Moon.

There's a 2026 sequel for Ronin Warriors btw. It's call Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers.

I read on titan based on the recommendation of a teenager a few years ago, gotta say I have no clue what the big deal is. The concept itself is problematic, lots of connections to Japanese imperialism. Then read death note, which was actually really good at the beginning, but then kept dragging on and on. Must say this is just not the medium for me.

And that’s the manga, not anime.

:st-lol: damn, missed a whole weeaboo segment in this thread (fwiw, grew up on Miyazaki, DBZ, Naruto, and One Piece)

Not sure if it was mentioned earlier, but Castle is up to a 2.8:1 ATO ratio now. Pretty damn elite tbh.

That's good, glad kids are more accepting of it now. Because when I was in high school 20 years ago that was definitely not the case :st-lol: the dudes that used to do the Naruto run would get bullied mercilessly

I grew up during that legendary Toonami run. You guys are right, anime is much more accepted now. I think a big reason why is because we have access to the authentic subs as opposed to those shitty dubs in the early 2000s.

And Zoomers just have a different mindset towards it now than millennials did at the same age.
