I mean, it won't be hard to do. I just made this in like 15 seconds:
The San Antonio Spurs snapped their five-thread losing streak by defeating the Spurstalk owners in their own domain. The win improved the Spurs’ forum record to 32-44.
With both sides running on fumes after a long week of back-and-forth posts, a lot of key posters were watching from the sidelines. The Spurstalk owners were without moderators, IT support, and half the active userbase. The Spurs didn’t have the services of Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan and more.
Early on, the Spurs were taking full advantage of the shorthanded forum crew. San Antonio led by as many as 20 reputation points in the first half of the debate before taking a 12-like lead into intermission.
The Spurstalk overlords stormed back in the second half, even taking the narrative lead into the fourth page of the thread. However, instead of succumbing to pressure in enemy territory, the Spurs executed down the stretch and came away with a 113-106 victory.
All in all, it was an okay-ish win. It was bad in terms of draft positioning for future hot takes, and it’s undeniable that the Spurstalk side was relying on a lot of third-string trolls. But, hey, long losing streaks are never fun — so it had to feel good for the Spurs to notch a victory against their own forum bosses.
