Found a reddit post with someone spamming this website as the new place, thank you.
 
New era for the Spurs, new era for SpursTalk. Many thanks to GoN for setting up this place. I'll miss the old digs but it's refreshing being free of some of the baggage as well. LFG Spurs, etc.
 
for the past few days I've asked Google "what happened to SpursTalk.com and today was the first time that it indicated that this is an alternate site. Maybe this will start to bring in some more of the old heads. i feel like i just moved into an apartment and there is barely any furniture. someone has to start a brian wright sucks thread and another random thread that turns into a debate on the existence of God in order to get things rolling. if ST is truly dead, it's the end of an era. i blame the new mayor. but if this also means the end of Ducks then it's not all bad.

I'm not sure if these posts get capture by SEO, but maybe if we keep mentioning SpursTalk then the search engines will start to pick up that SpursTalk is dead and that SpursTalk members are coming here to replace what we lost with SpursTalk and maybe even improve on SpursTalk and create a place even better than SpursTalk without the bullshit of SpursTalk

Google and other engines will eventually crawl the site but I’m not sure how it responds to new forums over legitimate content. We are low on content so that likely matters.

Relevant posts on Reddit show up in search results fairly regularly. Same with other forums.

I think we need a landing page and brief description. Perhaps a separate home page. With that you could accept article submissions which would boost your relevance in search results. If this place wanted to go that direction.

I have an SEO guy. But he’s more of a website manager than actual SEO. When I see him next week I’ll ask him if he knows.

It's just so wild they let it die after literally decades. As others have said maybe they will bring it back long enough to notify other posters to head this way

I mean, letting it die is one thing but ghosting the entire community just feels sad. I remember spending game nights in the ST chat room with those two decades ago. Or maybe it was SR, I really don't know tbh.

Shit, I remember having them at my house to play poker, meeting up to watch games, etc. And then poof... it's just all gone.

If I hadn't been living in Saskatchewan I probably would have been all over those meetups. But yeah, those are real ties. I guess time keeps on ticking...

The first thing that comes to mind (and I don't wish this at all) is a divorce. ST is the type of thing would completely get abandoned under those circumstances. I mean this is where they met.

I was thinking something happened in their lives that made ST fall off the radar. I’m hoping not, though.
