Dadiet is a super young athletic wing, wouldn't be a bad pick upMan i know Sochan has been bad this year, but a swap for Yabu still feels like a massive let down. Is Pecome any good? Would they give us a future swap of some kind?
Surprised we are dealing with New York after the Morris twin situation
Dirk did it. Kobe. Wade kinda did after leaving for a short period. Some players just enjoy loyalty.I don’t really understand the premise that Steph just stays with a forever 10 seed until he’s too old to shoot 3’s anymore.
I mean I understand that this might be true and it’s what he wants. But it’s pitiful. He wants to be pitiful because he won titles there under a different setting? Go win a title as a secondary scorer who doesn’t get butt f’d by 18 defenders every play. Have some fun. Win games without Draymond. Do all the wonderful things.
…or hang a banner in your house that says “loyal” on it and see how much that is worth. It’s one thing where it’s a guy who changes teams because he doesn’t realize he’s washed up yet. Curry is still a lethal weapon. He’s not Hakeem or Ewing or whatever other weird old guy in the wrong jersey.
How about for a 2029 and 2032 unprotected swap? Gotta fill in that calendar!Yabu has a player option for $5.8MM next season, which he'll undoubtably exercise since he's nothing more than a minimum player at this point.
Seems like it would be an unforced error to trade for him, unless we're getting some draft compensation (like upgrading some seconds into a first).
Edit: NYK's FRP is not tradeable. They have WAS top-8 protected that will inevitably turn into WAS's SRP this year and next, so it would be kind of pointless to do a SRP-for-FRP pick swap unless we're getting a future Knicks first... but I don't see why the Knicks would be interested in that.
If the Spurs were interested in getting him in the offseason and he chose the Knicks, well that is his problem. I don't think the Spurs would want him now.
Ariel Hukporti is on pretty much same contract and would be a better pickup. An obvious 3rd string centre, and waive BiyomboDadiet is a super young athletic wing, wouldn't be a bad pick up
Taking a flyer on Thompson would be interesting tbh. That said, it would take more than Olynyk's expiring.I still think Klay or even a MJP trade should be in the Spurs targeted phone calls. I think Barnes, Olynyk, Sochan and a top 8 protected pick, perhaps altantas, for MJP would be ideal. For Klay it'll be Olynyk who is expiring.
Same. Would rather just keep Sochan tbh.I guess we gotta hope Yabu goes to NOLA cause I don't want this guy nowhere near the team. Hopefully it's a multi-team tradel
I'd keep Dadiet around. He's listed as SG but 6'9'', mobile and got good shooting form. Could be another Champagnie project. Spurs can always waive Biyombo.Personally I'd waive Dadiet if this came to fruition. I'd also waive Biyombo and sign Bassey, but Brian Wright has yet to call and ask for my opinion![]()

Max Christie is my big trade pickins goal.I still think Klay or even a MJP trade should be in the Spurs targeted phone calls. I think Barnes, Olynyk, Sochan and a top 8 protected pick, perhaps altantas, for MJP would be ideal. For Klay it'll be Olynyk who is expiring.
He’s kind of a dick, though. He was injured and missed two seasons that GS had to pay him. He bitched about coming off the bench during his recovery, and then didn’t like GS’s offer, so he took LESS to leave and go to Dallas. Seems like unnecessary drama for a player who really only has one skill. His formerly stout defense is just a memory.Klay Thompson would increase this team’s bball IQ by a lot
I was thinking their natural pick this year which currently stands at #20.Yabu has a player option for $5.8MM next season, which he'll undoubtably exercise since he's nothing more than a minimum player at this point.
