I got banned from SpursReport (as did many others) to help build SpursTalk. The fact DC23 is doing the same Dusty routine only motivates me to say fuck that place

When we all left SpursReport for SpursTalk, Dusty Garza would delete threads, ban people who mentioned ST, and censored LJ and Kori’s name. Sad that LJ and Kori’s site is now using the same tactics. Fuck ST

The best thing we can all do is commit to this forum. The stronger we commit here the easier it’ll be to crowd fund for improvements. A lot of us are willing to make donations to upgrade this platform when those days come.

Agreed. We legitimately had people practically begging to throw money at the owners to help improve the site…and still got complete radio silence in return.

If anyone even posted “We understand that things aren’t working the way they should be but we simply have too much going on in our lives to fix it right now. We apologize and hope to get things back on track somewhere down the road.” that would’ve gone a long way and I’m sure most of us would feel totally different about the prospects of returning.

Not sure what would give anyone confidence that whoever owns SpursTalk is going to suddenly start caring about the site/community.

Long time mostly lurker, I’ve had a few accounts with low post counts over the years but I’m bad about keeping up with passwords and such. The rumor I heard was that they sold the site around the time the ads started showing up 5-10 years ago? Either to that admin who made the post about server upgrades or whoever is employing him.

Got'em freed up. That's the third one of of over a hundred that were stuck needing an approval. I'll have to investigate this later, but in the meantime I'll make it a point to keep an eye out for newbies.
