Game Thread Spurs (48-17) vs Nuggets (40-26) (Thu 3/12/2026) [8:00PM CDT]

Man without Wemby this team is so average. Poor coaching also shows up. Wemby covers up a lot.
What?!!! Dude save this comment for a team like Portland or Memphis. If it would have been those that we lost to or struggled with THEN you can say this shit but not an experienced championship contender team like the Nuggets. Wtf. Spoiled already?? Team is 10-5 without Wemby and played great first half basketball that was way better than an average team could pull off

Without Wemby this team is 10-5 with road wins in Denver and LA. Tonight was a tough loss but this team is anything but average even without Victor.
Nah. Over the long haul that 9-4 would have translated to something worse. Maybe 45 win team. The coach has no feel for the game. I would rather have plumlee in there than play small ball with Keldon at center.

Young guys played great overall and Fox continued his good play. Funky lineups and some dumb TOs killed us.

Denver is the best offensive team in the league, you’re not slowing them down with Harrison Barnes as your tallest player on the floor and a bad game from Luke tbh

The loss is fine.

I don’t want us going tug-of-war with OKC for the No. 1 seed all the way to the end just for HCA. Being the 2nd seed is totally fine if it means giving the guys some rest as we get closer to the playoffs.

Switched over to the OKC vs BOS game — we’re a better three-point shooting team than OKC. They just keep chucking them.

I dont feel anything negative from this game as Mugen pointed out.

I mean we shouldve still won but you cant win all the time.

Im more worried about Wemby having only 3 games to miss tbh.

Wemby fixes a lot of issues but man, seeing Mitch coach that fourth quarter really has me worried come playoff time tbh.
Dude Denver was just missing shots first half and then settled in and started hitting the same shots they were missing. Not many teams can stop Jamal Murray when he plays like that and then the role players started hitting shots too. That’s all it came down to

Good game tight

I mean I don't think they'd win 55 games with this team minus Victor, which is what 10-5 would extrapolate out to, but they've shown enough to make me believe they'd be fighting Phoenix for a #6 seed. That's not an average team, especially in this conference.

Won 17–18 and went 4-1 against the pistons clippers rockets Celtics and a 5 point loss against the nuggets without Wemby and were up by 20. Everything is okay. Jesus Christ yall are some spoiled fucks. Won 34 games last year lmao.
Not so much meltdowns tonight but I agree. Nothing to take away from a game like this. Again blowing big leads in the nba is very common at this point.

Agreed, seems like we’re destined for the 2nd seed anyway. But long way to go before home court might even matter, gotta think short term.

16 out of 18 is still incredible stuff. Losing a 20 point lead at home to a team on a b2b might be a good way to keep us humble in the middle of that

I don’t think some of you guys realize the type of veteran shit that Denver was getting away with to free up guys for open shots when they went on that run. Our players were competing hard but Denver just won with experience. This was a great test for our guys to see what it’s going to be like. And from what we have seen all season this team has a great ability to adapt and improve against an opponent the next time they play. It was good learning experience. Ready for Saturday

Who cares about personal awards? I’m far more concerned with how awful our big rotation is after wemby site. Kornet is playing like a fourth stringer right now.

This is why the playoffs can be nerve wracking with our lack of experience and why I’d still absolutely favor OKC in a series. Mitch also has no playoff experience but this is a house money year anyway

I really would like that #1 seed as it's gonna be a bastard to win two games in OKC in a hypothetical matchup. Hard to believe the Spurs could sweep the home games against them. Only way I'm staying content at #2 is if Minnesota and Denver lock into the 4-5 seeds as beating OKC on the road, while a tall task, is probably not as tough as having to beat OKC and one of Minnesota/Denver.

Wemby isn't going to play 48 minutes in the playoffs. Sure, Denver might be the best offensive team in the league, but it's still concerning that we blew a 20 PT lead without him. We won't make it far in the playoffs if the defense falls of a cliff when he's out.

Mitch will get outclassed pretty easily in playoffs. Wouldn’t be surprised if we lose to suns in first round.

Why are you worried about big rotation? Vic will/should play 36minutes every fckn game in the playoffs.
