Game Thread Spurs (48-17) vs Nuggets (40-26) (Thu 3/12/2026) [8:00PM CDT]

Jokic and Murray played 40 minutes on the second night of a back to back. I’m not too worried

The best part of this was when Mitch Johnson got his technical and Sean the Sacred Cow of the company Propaganda had to say well, this is now Mitch's team. No dummy, this team is Wimby's team. Mitch is just on there for the ride, and he fucked up this entire second half play this mall ball, which you failed to call out. You and your little boyfriend on the sideline.

Wouldn’t be such a problem if we didn’t waste roster spots on culture guys like Biyombo and Plumlee.

For sure, so frustrating. But as you said earlier, not worried, we win Rho comfortably with wemby. But really need Kornet to be serviceable come playoff time.

Not that everybody was playing great (Kornet/keldon), but this one falls on Mitch for those 4th quarter rotations.

And i rarely come away from games blaming sub patterns. I barely ever assign grades to Mitch at all tbh, but this was a choke job all quarter long

This is exclusively on Mitch.
I can't believe he played Plumlee against their small lineup.

And we're in trouble with current big situation.
Kornet, Olynyk, Biyombo, Plumlee and we can't get 15 combined solid minutes from them.
Let alone any solid minimal offensive output

Mitch and Keldon lost this one.

Playing Plumlee meaningful minutes in the 4th cost them smh. Oh well. Didn’t expect to be up a ton and get the W against Denver

You guys need to stop being a bunch of ball lickers.

They basically planned to lose this game. How did you think it was going to go without your seven and a half foot defensive anchor not playing. I mean don't blame the other players blame Mitch if you want to blame anyone

It was quite a sight to see what our defense down low looks like without Wemby. I swear earlier in the year Kornet could provide good coverage down there, am I just remembering wrong? Or was Denver just finishing well. Felt like every drive was an easy 2
You're not remembering wrong; Luke was pretty outstanding defensively until the last couple of weeks. He definitely doesn't look right, wonder if it's fatigue from a long season or if he has some nagging injury.
