He is easily my least favorite Spurs to watch. Basically, a slightly better Dejounte Murray on a bloated contract
 
Nephew is just one of those players you can't guard when he's on tbh.

He's routinely taken out Wemby at that point in the first all year. That's completely normal. He's routinely brought him back right at the start of the 2nd, so this was one minute later and given the back to back and Wemby playing a lot of minutes last night that isn't a shock or weird. He then benched him because Wemby was doing some bullshit.

Yes, the Spurs played better and usually do with Wemby on the floor. They weren't down 20 at the half because Wemby played a few minutes less. That's just a stupid take.

Wemby gets subbed around the 6 minutes mark and then he usually gets back before the first quarter ends. On the rare ocassion he doesn't get back in the 1st quarter, he definitely starts the second. HE NEVERS SITS FOR 9 STRAIGHT MINUTES.

A normal amount of minutes for Wemby in these last games is around 35 minutes. He played only 10 in the first half. That's about 7/8 minutes less in the first half. That's not playing "a few minutes less", that's playing almost half the minutes you would usually play. The first half being a 20 pts beatdown revolves around that stupid coaching decision Mitch made. It really is as simple as that.
 
We can blame Fox sure, but castle and Vassell also look like dogshit. Not gonna win games when so many starters are playing like trash.

But the pace has gotten so much faster. Last time they can just let PG dribble up half court, dump it to the post for 20 secs before taking a shot
