Game Thread Spurs (44-17) vs Pistons (45-15) (Thu 03/05/26) [7:00 PM CST]

f the refs in the 3rd quarter, was a disgrace

spurs played well enough to push through that BS

this is what most spurs fans want out of Fox, aggressive, no nonsense, get to the rim at will

Wemby really hates Chet šŸ˜† he had a great game vs the Knick and Wemby one ups him the next night with arguably his most dominant performance this season

That was an impressive outing. Good to see both Fox and Wemby have very good offensive games.
Pistons have steamrolled the Knicks every time this season, yet we cannot beat the Knicks. Weird matchup shit.

Because Mikal Bridges somehow like to go nuclear on us. And also NY games are usually in the afternoon

Did Duren foul out? Or did Detroit just give up like that?
He got into foul trouble rather early, and most coaches then react by benching players. I mean it's silly because he ended up playing only 12 minutes - and didn't foul out.

Great win for our guys! They definitely come to play for these marquee matchups, that's for sure. I especially liked that both Castle and Wemby didn't do the things I don't really want to see out of them - Castle looking too much for his own offense, Wemby predictably turning the ball over when dribbling into traffic. Shooters like Duncan Robinson and Huerter only combining for 6 threes taken is a good sign for our defense - and a bad sign for Detroit's offense.
Wemby is just a sight to behold. He had many amazing moments in this game, but to me, his running push shot/floater against Javonte Green like three minutes or so into the 4th quarter maybe takes the cake.

He picked up his third foul sometime in the second. He started to trot to the bench, but his coach turned him around and sent him back. The NEXT play, Wemby went right at him, and drew #4, in the second quarter. He didn’t last too long in the second half to pick up #5. Beef Stew was doing a better job, anyway. Wemby made his first two treys, and probably 4 of Duren’s fouls were on pump fakes. I don’t care how springy or athletic you are, at 6’10ā€, you’re not blocking that shot. Stay on the ground.

We were all crying for his return when he was out and we we're so awful shooting
We were also praying for him to be consistent, which he definitely has been. If he's had a better stretch in his career than right now, I don't remember it.
