Back at it again in Austin on Saturday as we host a tanking Kings team that are on an NBA season-worst 15-game losing streak after falling to the Orlando Magic tonight. They've lost their last 3 games by an average of 31 points (!!). Sabonis and LaVine are both OUT after having season-ending surgeries. De'Andre Hunter is QUESTIONABLE with a left eye injury. We'll basically be playing their G-League team outside of Russ and DeMar. Zero excuse not to win this one comfortably tbh. Let's get it.

(Fired this game thread up a little early so nobody would try to pull a fast one on me tbh).

This has trap game written all over it tbh. Luckily its not in Sacramento and the Kings have all the incentives to lose.

It'd be an embarrassment of riches if we lost to this awful, tanking Kings team at home tbh. Would be completely inexcusable. Thankfully I think we take this one comfortably. Even if the Kings play better than expected to start the game and keep it competitive for a while, I can't imagine the Spurs not pulling away down the stretch of the 2nd half.

OTOH, they'd come out extra motivated against Detroit tbh.

Demar revenge game TBH.

Remember when it leaked that demar wanted a max extension and the spurs were not going to do it, so the trade rumor buzz started around him. I wanted him traded to Orlando for multiple players and one of them was Mo Bamba :st-rollin:

It's very close and even if it's a lottery pick the Spurs probably end up with the 13th or 14th pick since the Hawks would have one of the best records of the teams that are in the lottery.

Agreed. But, I kind of like moving up14 slots in the draft. I’d much rather draft at 13 or 14 than 28th.

They climbed from 14 to 11, but they drop one spot and they’re going to pop out of the lottery? They’re fake news,and their best lineups included Porzingas who’s no longer there.

I don't think they're gonna climb to the 6th seed, but could you not see them getting in and sneaking past the Play-In? Right now I'm banking on the Hornets and Magic making it into the POs, but not outside the realm of possibilities.
Obv I cheer for their demise every day, but trying to not get attached to having a great pick this year
 
I get the sense Wemby definitely cares about accolades...don't think he'll let the Spurs sit him unless he's legitimately injured tbh. If he wants GOAT status he needs to start racking up some hardware in year 3.

Yea so long as Jalen Johnson is healthy, not sure I see that pick being any higher than 13 or 14 tbh, especially with ATL having one of the easiest schedules left in the league. Bummer for sure but with this draft being so stacked, there will still be good prospects available in that range tbh.
