Game Thread Spurs (34-16) @ Mavs (19-31) (Thu 2/05/26) [7:30 PM CST]

There should be no judgement about what is said during games. We're all huge fans of this franchise and the players. We all get caught up in the moment
I was just about to make a comment about hoping the aneurysm were worth it… but you said it more eloquently. Game threads are in the circle of trust… no terrible takes within them should carry over outside of them

We have officially surpassed last season's win total. Playoff bound more than likely, but, we could pivot and tank too. Best of both worlds.
I will add that the Spurs could end up easily getting 50 wins which I didn't think was originally possible to start the season. They would have to go 15-16 the rest of the way to get 50. If they ended up getting 50 plus wins it will be the first season they have achieved that since 2017. Getting 50 to me is important because it's always been a sign of being a team that is consistently good.

I'm not say Harper is superior to Flagg, and yeah positionally it would've worked out better to get Flagg, but there is something special about Harper and I don't think I would swap situations even if I could.
I would trade both Castle and Harper for Flagg in a second and I fucking love Castle and think Harper can be a top 10 player.

There's no way to compare the two at the moment, at least in terms of production. One has all the green light and all the minutes playing for a lottery team, and the other comes off the bench, on limited minutes, and has to share ball-handling duties with 2 other quality PGs, on a team that's currently prioritizing winning over individual accomplishment.

Devin’s defense is actually…good? Felt like he was the only one who could stay in front of a Maverick. Some amazing efforts in the 4th.

Return of the Unc 🎵

Flagg is good. But he still looks like he’s dressed as a pirate for Halloween.

I wish Mitch would yell at our players more. Some really bone-headed sequences.
they had flagg everytime devin was on him and a second defender would temporarily double on the screen. Anytime they tried something else, they got destroyed.

You’ll sleep better if you don’t think about this :st-lol:
The Spurs were 1 lottery ball from getting Ausar Thompson instead of Wemby too.

The Spurs lottery luck has been absolutely insane given the quality of the players they have been able to take with the three #1 picks plus Castle and Harper.

I can just imagine if the Spurs got Flagg and Harper. The guy who announces the team with the winning combo: "*sigh* San Antonio"
Then for the #2 pick "*sighhhhh* San Antonio"
The rest of the room erupts in disbelief.

If Spurs get 50+ wins, I think Wemby gets the MVP, on top of the DPOY.

Hats off to Cooper Flagg what a performance. Played with great intensity and he was hitting every shot it felt like. Really put a lot of pressure on the Spurs. Flagg is going to be a problem for the league.
Yep, looks like he has all the tools to be very very special indeed.
