Game Thread Spurs (33-16) vs Thunder (40-11) (Wed 2/04/26) [8:30 PM CST]

If Mitch wasn't a rookie head coach I'd probably want him fired after the game and likely wouldn't watch another spurs game until he was or the playoffs started

Just an absolute oafish performance by the spurs from top to bottom except for Keldon and that directly speaks to the lack of leadership from the coach.

It would be a kneejerk reaction to think that a rookie coach isn't "they guy"...all of the bucks misfortune literally started right after they fired a rookie head coach who had them top 3 in the east...but a game like tonight makes it hard not to have that kneejerk reaction

This team is going to have to outplay whoever they match up with in the playoffs other than the lakers cause they sure as shit aint going to out coach them...and the lakers are only going to get outcoached because their coach is a fucking podcaster :st-lol:
In the first half we had plays with Castle taking the 3 after two time-outs, just that is a fireable offense.
All the intangibles are horrible.
Time out plays, challenges, rotations, not being a presence during games...

The fact that they're the number 2 seed is the only reason Wemby is in the "MVP" conversation but he is nowhere near the actual impact of those in the top 5.
Pussy mindset.

Honestly, I can't wait for playoff Wemby. Dude has less than half the shot attempts Luka or SGA have, but he's so efficient and a monster on both ends. I shit on him wanting him to be the GOAT already, but him, and the Spurs, are playing with 1 arm tied behind their back. His minutes are constantly limited because they're being careful, as they should be, but if he averaged the attempts SGA and Luka had, or even just close to it, he'd be the MVP without question.

Well, it was dog shit but at least we don’t have to deal with the utter humiliation of losing to the G squad.
