Game Thread Spurs (32-16) vs Magic (25-22) (Sun 2/01/26) [8:00PM CST]

Scott makes a good point about reputation. Wemby probably doesnt take Mitch seriously
Maybe but tbh Wemby hasn’t done shit yet to earn the right to not respect people in the league

Mitch was Wemby’s development coach his rookie year, if I understand correctly, right?

I think this is like most cases where one “peer” becomes the manager, it’s hard to separate from the former relationship. Mitch may not carry the authority required to push Wemby.

You may be 100% on point with this.

Suggs is right, should have been a charge on Wemby… but we’ll take it

The league has started to play Wemby super physically but its like the NBA refuses to call fouls. I swear he gets mugged half the time in the post and there isnt a single call.
You can push Victor off his spot like he’s a blocking sled, but you can’t even sneeze on SGA and others. It’s the “he’s seven-foot-five tax.” Same thing happened with Shaq the “he’s 300 pounds tax.”
Industry pundits and other content creators like BBALBREAKDOWN keep spinning this blatant rule violations by producing videos with the same message: "The OKC Thunder have figured Wemby out." which should say "OKC figured out the League allowed us to Push Wemby anywhere like a Blocking Sled"

At the same time, they go on and on in other videos about how “It’s not traveling, don’t believe your eyes, you casual, it’s called a gather. One to five steps? Gather.”

Watching and following the NBA in 2020's, in the Lebron James Era has become TAXING.
