Let's see... I have Peacock app for NBC games, and ESPN app for ESPN/ABC games.

I need to get a Prime app for 6 games... and FanDuel/Bally's still for local coverage?

That seems to be the case if you don't feel like sailing the high seas.

some of the NBC games you can just catch with an antenna, but some of them are only going to be on peacock. i dont have peacock and not getting it just for a handful of games, so no thanks.

but dont worry. adam silver said we can just watch highlights on twitter or youtube

Can't wait to hear the NBA On NBC theme again.

I was hoping to be done with FanDuel this year to catch local games. I’m in Austin. I really wish they’d fix the league pass blackout area because we can’t get San Antonio stations here and the games are blacked out as if we can.

FYI, there are two ways to get Peacock for "free" if you have these things:

1) Amex Platinum card. Peacock is eligible for the $25/mo streaming credit
2) WalMart+ includes your choice of either Peacock or Paramount+. Oddly, Wal-Mart+ is also free with the Amex Platinum (so I get Paramount+ through WalMart and then Peacock with my streaming credit)

You may be able to use the FD app with VPN to spoof being in SA.

If I can get local stations ABC/NBC to behave on my Fubo app, I can get 80 games. It keeps trying to put my IP in the Austin market for local games . I missed most of the national games previously, because my Fubo tier didn’t contain TNT/TBS.

Appreciate a good number of LA games being on National TV. These are otherwise blacked out in Hawaii, because we're in the "LA TV Market" a whole 2500 miles away.

Hopefully I'll also be able to make it to some West Coast games this year. I've got a standing invite to either the Suite or (near) Courtside seats to any Nuggets games, so I hope to utilize that for the April 4 matchup (don't think my wife will be cool with me flying to Denver for a Spurs game for Thanksgiving weekend :ROFLMAO: )

I was just checking the NBA Preseason schedule and all Spurs game show up as being televised locally. No more jumbotron games :st-cry: The organization finally moved up to the 21st century.

thats nice with the platinum, but i dont travel enough to justify the annual fee. seems like a sweet deal for people who do though.

i just have the peasant blue cash preferred which gets me $120 back on disney+ per year

Yeah, the Platinum is a big commitment, but it can definitely pay for itself.

$120 credit for Uber One
$200/yr in Uber Credits
$100/yr in Sacks 5th Avenue credit
$300/yr in Lululemon Credit
$600/yr in hotel credit
$300/yr in Streaming Credits
$200/yr in Resy credit
Free Clear membership
Free Walmart+ membership
I feel like I'm leaving some other things off

yeah those perks are great. i just dont really avail myself to enough of them to justify it. but for anybody who regularly travels and needs hotels/uber... thats incredible value. most of my travel and hotel stay is for work, and thats on company dime anyway. they take the hotel bill, and i guess i could get double reimbursed for ubers and such, but its not a significant enough amount.

How often do you wear your Lululemon's while traveling? :st-lol:

No joke, I wear them every day. The ABC 5-pocket pants are legit the most comfortable pair of pants I've ever owned. Have several pairs.

Yeah, most of my travel is for work too, but I put it all on my Amex and get reimbursed. Gotta get dem points.

yeah if i took the hotel bills that could work. but the firm always has the tab on that anyway so i dont even get a chance at the points hah.

i have my peasant Blue Cash Preferred though. costs 95/year ($0 for intro year), but i get 120 back from the disney bundle alone. and then its just a nice cash back card with 6% back on groceries and 6% on streaming subscriptions (i see that the platinum just gets a pretty hefty 300/year streaming credit). i literally use it for just those 6%-ers, or the occasional merchant offer stuff... sometimes random category based ones like "10% off insurance payment" or "$20 cash back off home internet"
